“Worth a visit! ”
Review of Cucumber Beach

Cucumber Beach
Reviewed 2 weeks ago via mobile

We visited while ported in Belize. It cost us 30 dollars each for a trip here which included return trip and entry too.

It’s a manmade beach but it’s realistic with the sand and the water is quite deep.
The inflatable, trampoline, water slide and the rope swing where great.

There is a DJ which I thought was brill played all up to date, up beat music from the stage.

You can either eat in the restaurant or a waiter can bring you a menu and you can eat at your lounger. The food was really nice the jerk chicken was the best pick for us!

Food and drink reasonably priced.

Worth a visit!!

We had a relaxing day at Kukumba beach. It got busier as the day progressed. Drinks were not overpriced. Food in the restaurant was good.

We came here while ported in Belize. It rained or was windy so we did not go in the water. My daughters enjoyed it but the waterslide is a bit to steep for them (6yo and 12yo). There were ladies that asked to braid hair. They were very nice and not too pushy. You do have to pay to use swim or even enter the area. We had to watch our kids swim from the bar or pay to sit. The food was good although our cab driver stated that the "chicken strips" were really iguana tail. Not sure how much truth there is to that. It tasted like chicken. I enjoyed the cab ride more that coming here. I would suggest going somewhere else. This really is for locals not somewhere to experience the island.

Belize City was one of ports we visited during our holiday cruise. We wanted a place that we can just hangout and relax for a few hours. The park its about a ten-minute drive from the port and we paid $30 dlls round-trip for 2 from the port to the water park. There is a $10 fee to enter the park. The park has beach chairs and tables, restaurant/bar, a waterslide, a DJ, restrooms, beach volleyball court, and an artificial beach (water whole).

I noticed that there was no filtration system to clean the water, and the water has an odd color. My skin is extremely dry and itchy. I am a Nurse and will try to contact Belize health department to investigate that filthy beach
