Description: We're certainly far from perfect, but we do try our best to create a winning experience for every single customer, whether they are hotel guests, Belizean neighbors or travelers staying at other hotels. Try pairing small plates with wines, choose from our creative main courses, or just enjoy some comfort food for breakfast or lunch. It's fun for us to meet new people and, well, just make them happy! Our casual beach bistro focuses on unique sauces and contemporary, tropical-themed flavor combinations while maintaining comfortable portions. Lots of fish and seafood. Bar service includes a 130-bottle wine list, local beer, rum drinks, and house specials. The outdoor atmosphere is casual so you can be comfortable in flip flops. Belize's "Restaurant of the Year" award was presented twice to the Bistro in June 2011 and May 2013.

Lots of restaurants in Placencia pennisula.....but this one is a cut above. Right on the beach with palm trees swaying in the breeze and a full moon above. Had a great special, fish with a spinach/leek sauce which was fabulous (snook) and they actually had a Chardonnay that I liked. Best wine list here too. 3 appetizers, 3 specials, bottle of wine and a glass of red....with tip $150 US.... cheap by Canadian standards... make reservations. We went with a friend who is a regular 4 times a week and got a table in 10 mins.

We were there during high season, spring break, and that is worth noting because they were very busy. Reservations required and they were "on it" in terms of trying to make sure they turn their tables. Considering it's a significant revenue period for them, we get it. That being said, some of the services were off in terms of busing our table and checking in on us. We would have ordered more wine, but the window to do so was missed. They had several really large parties that night too, so we understood.

The food was very good and the selection some of the most interesting we had seen in the country. The location, seafront, was beautiful. Maya Beach Bistro is worth the trip out of "main town" Placencia for a fine dining on the beachfront experience.

We had a nice dinner at the Bistro on eveningIt is literally on the beach, so no shoes, no problem! Those sea breezes make the a/c not necessary! Great atmosphere and ambiance.
The menu is a bit limited, but what they serve they do well. the portions are generous, and the food is well seasoned and cooked nicely.
The staff is friendly (Belize has some of the friendliest people!) and are welcoming.
Pricing is on the middle to high range for the area, but worth it.
They say a thick cut pork chop, they aren't kidding!
Their chocolate souffle is delightful.
Definitely on our list of places we will happily come back to when we come back to Belize!

This place was so good that we broke our rule and ate here twice. The porkchop is probably the best I’ve ever had. Beautiful ambiance. Like every beachfront restaurant in Belize, wear bug spray.

We walked here from the ocean club. It was a nice change for one of our dinners. My husband had the ribs and I had the shrimp. Both were very yummy. We split the chocolate soufflé. It was amazing!!! The meal was very reasonably priced in comparison to our hotels restaurant. Would have liked to have found this spot sooner, so we could have visited more than once.
