Love the hands of this amazing cook. Our driver took us to Marian´s and it became our favorite lunch spot while in PG. No expensive and delicious East Indian/ Belizean food. That´s the perfect combination. It´s a family owned restaurant and they cook with passion and love. Nice view of the bay, during the day.
And they have a whole range of different home-made chillie sauce. I loved it.

We were referred to Marian's Bayview by whom we thought would be a reliable source. We were all very hungry and It turned out to be one of those meals that you eat half the food offered with a lot of trepidation. We ordered two dishes to share family style between 4 people. They didn't have a menu but said we would be getting some kind of Belizian pork ribs as one dish and some kind of Belizian chicken stew as the other.
When the food came, we dished up to find that their version of pork ribs were nothing but chopped pieces of boiled pork liver in some mystery brown sauce. The chicken stew was nothing more than a few chicken backs and legs boiled in water with a small amount of onions and carrots. We all found ourselves dumping salt on our food to try to give it a little flavor. We ate less than half of what was offered even though it left us still hungry. I can assure you none of us will ever return even though the view over the water was very nice. If you find yourself there because you couldn't get out of it for some reason or another, I urge you to just order a coke or something. It probably won't be cold but at least you will spare yourself from a very expensive and very low quality meal! Oh, and by the way. The service was about as good as the food...

Want a too dinner that doesn't come at a top price? Asking the local people for such a spot they recommend Marian's. As the name says on the bay with a wonderful sunset. Service was super and so friendly. Food was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Pick from their seasonal selections. Menu is always changing which I enjoy. Great people with great smiles. Enjoy.

We had heard about Marian's but it took a bit of searching to find her. It located in the large grey concrete building on the water's edge.Look for the gate on the right side of the camper. We had our first meal there on Christmas day and she served us a great turkey and ham dinner with great sides. In fact it was so good that my husband went back the next day for leftovers. We had several other meals with her and not one time were we disappointed, however she is only opened for lunch.

There aren't many places to eat in Punta Gorda, which makes this place a no brainer. The restaurant sits over the ocean and has great views. The restaurant itself is very quaint and is basically one room with a large outdoor deck area over the water. They have rocking chairs as a very nice touch 😀. The food was really good too. When you enter the bar area, you place your order there. There is a huge chalk board with tons of options and the items with a check mark next to them are what's available. I ate here twice while I was in Punta Gorda and had the twisted lobster dish and the fried shrimp; both were great! I liked the fried shrimp the most. Pretty good vegetable selection too.
