If you want a nice quiet place to relax, this is it. Individual cabanas made this well worth it. We were in a cabana that was close to the main dinning/party area, and being a light sleeper, still got a good night sleep as the noise was low.enough to not disturb us. The food was your usual fare, with different cuisine every night. We chose this resort because it was recommended. We did an island tour which was really well organized. The beach, although not the largest, was more than appropriate for the amount of people on the property. We will definitely go here again.

We stayed here in November. Despite the fact that it down poured the second day until we went home we loved it. Staff was out to entertain us regularly.
Our room was big, clean and the only issue we had was trying to turn the tap off the shower when you were done. It would get stuck.
Food was good. Not a ton of choices but enough for us. Drinks were ok.
The snorkeling off shore was amazing. Unfortunately we didnt get out too much because of the rain.
We hired a driver our last day and got to hold sloths and see much of the island. Had a wonderful lunch in west bay.
We will stay here again!

Our family and friends stayed a week and we found it to be lovely. Only hick up: the newest couple of the group was assigned a cottage with two twin beds. It took a few days to fix the matter.

Otherwise, the food was buffet style with good variety, for all three meals. Bar offered food snacks throughout. Staff was efficient, and pleasant and/or fun, depending on their roles.

Lovely stay. Recommend for people not looking for exciting nightlife or gourmet food.

Being generous with allotting it a one star!!! The cabin(128) is full of mildew, the shower was leaking on the outside balcony wall and on adjacent wall inside (which gives into the bedroom area. My husband when through the balcony floor - rottened plank, went to the reception area to report it, first reaction was to get hole repaired, second was to ask if he was ok and if he needed to go to hospital. We could not see what was on tv, poor reception, took 3 days to get us another one and we had somewhat of reception. Thousands of huge red ants raided our balcony in the morning, called the front desk to have someone come to spray so they would not get into the cabin, they never showed up though the receptionist said "we'll send someone right over Mam!". Tiny red ants were present in our bathroom sink everyday - no letting toothpaste or toothbrush or anything on the counter. Food is at best luke warm and repetitive - one morning frozen croissants were not cooked through so middle was raw dough. Many got stomach bug. We had bed bugs, sand fleas even on the upper decks around the pools and bar, some cabins had cockroaches. Also pathways are not properly lit at night making it hard to walk on uneven pathway. Dining and entertainment area is not air conditioned so windows are wide opened, crows come in and settled on backs of chairs and tables, and in the evening, many many bats would fly all over the restaurant and dining area, at times we ducked they flew so low. Anyone getting there needs to be armed with A LOT of bug spray, patience and immodium. The internet café is nice, air conditioned and offers free wifi. Wifi in the reception area, which is next to the café is sporadic. Sent several e-mails ahead of time to get distilled water for medical equipment, never got an answer. Reached them on their facebook page and chat for same issue, never got an answer from them regarding distilled water, so we brought our own in our checked baggage. Worst service ever with a smile...They proudly display Trip Advisor award for 2017 at the reception. I would reconsider this award...

Room Tip: rooms that offer ocean view careful, views are somewhat blocked by trees in front of windows and balcony.

April 23-30 2018 Media Luna Resort and Spa is a nice resort for someone looking to get away for a week at a reasonable price. This resort offers privacy with the individual cabana rooms. You are not going to get a five star experience at this resort but then again you are not paying for it either. The grounds are beautiful and the resorts offers poolside and ocean chairs. The pathways are made of flagstone and could be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues as the pathway is uneven. The lobby has big comfortable areas to check email and have internet which is complimentary. The coffee bar was nice and we used it daily. The beds are very firm. The food was average there is always something one can eat but the quality again goes with the price. The staff at this resort were excellent. This was a dive trip and and the diving did not disappoint. The house reef is beautiful. This vacation was sold as unlimited shore diving when in fact you can only dive during the dive shop hours which are from 8-430. They do offer guided night dives a few times a week at a reasonable price. The dive staff are an excellent group and very helpful. I would suggest brining a bug spray as many guests encountered sand fleas. Bring a water bottle to have poolside for drinks. Aqua Adventures was a wonderful group to go diving with. Everyone involved with the diving experience were very helpful. The DMs were very mindful of the level of divers they had on the boat. I managed to see 3 seahorses during my stay. On days when the boat was busier extra staff was on the boat. I did not see any of the entertainment but other guests said it was good. If you are there to dive I would suggest asking for a room away from the entertainment area so you will not be kept up at night. I would return to this resort for the diving.
