The hotel overlooks the central park and is lovely inside with an open garden courtyard. The staff were amazingly friendly and joyful which is rare. They also booked us a shuttle which was much cheaper than the Hedman Alas bus and it picked us up at the front door of the hotel. We walked very easily to the ruins from the hotel as well. Our room was great and fully supplied with all the amenities. And there is also a yummy free breakfast included that has about 6 options. I'd definitely stay there again.

An atmospheric and well kept hotel on a corner of the central square of the village. Nice tasteful rooms and friendly helpful staff. from the hotel the Maya ruins of Copan can be easily reached by walking 15 minutes or taking a tuktuk. All shops and restaurants are nearby.

Room Tip: no special recommendations

We had a total of 5 rooms for 11 people, and the rooms, service, accommodations, and pool were excellent. Free drink to relax by the pool, very good dining experience, near the ruins, helpful staff. Very pleased.

We had two rooms on the second floor at the end of the hall. There was a small common area that we enjoyed sitting in. We also visited our friends upstairs on the third floor, where there was a hammock in the common area. Our kids spent a lot of time up there. On our floor (the 2nd), the rooms were cramped and it was difficult to store luggage. Still, the 2nd floor rooms had interesting Mayan sculptures, so we liked the rooms. The third-floor rooms were larger and had refrigerators, safes, and more privacy. Our rooms were very dark and we slept soundly. There was air conditioning, which was helpful because of the heat and humidity. The courtyard was dripping with plants. These were beautiful and attracted hummingbirds. There was an abundance of local artwork and beautiful tilework. The restaurant provided a breakfast of juice, coffee, and a selection of foods. I recommend the plato tipico of eggs, beans, platanos, cheese, and tortillas (but skip the sour cream, which looked a little dried out). There is an additional menu where you have to pay, but can find French toast and pancakes for kids who might not like the 'free' selection. For more coffee, a mochaccino, or hot chocolate, walk to a nearby cafe--there are many. Tuk-tuks are readily available to take you to the ruins. Several stores and vendors are located right beside the hotel. The folks at the front desk were fantastic at suggesting restaurants and helping us make plans and restaurant reservations. GREAT, friendly customer service.

Room Tip: Rooms on the third floor are bigger, have refrigerators, and have safes.
