i can not recommend this hotel, had to change rooms twice as in one the ac didn't work, in the next one the safe was locked. they said some guest had lost the key, so they just leave it like that. the key to the room didn't work once to twice a day, no internet most of the time. staff friendly but lazy. wouldn't go back there even if it was for only half the price

The reception desk staff at this hotel are absolutely amazing - they had answers for every question, were always friendly and attentive - acknowledging us as soon as we appeared - and often greeting us by name. They all spoke excellent English and were just so helpful and friendly.
The hotel is well positioned just opposite the plaza and in what is probably the best part of town. There is a hotel restaurant and other restaurants and cafes nearby as well as juice bars etc...
Room was big and clean - great hot showers, ac, tv and a fridge - big pool if you wanted to splash!
Would definitely return...

the internet service is spotty at best ... not available in most rooms... there are no face cloths ... the individual a/c units are dilapidated and on their last legs... the only two setting are meat locker freezing and off.... The staff will not change rooms is you need internet but it does not work in your room... They can be rather sharp if you complain... The hotel smells of fried chicken as in you might as well be in the fryolator of KFC or Popeyes...overpowering greasy chicken smell... wait staff is pleasant but the food is not...

Unless you are desperate you might make it through a night at Hotel Paris ...Two Nights would require a stomach pump...

Ths Grand Hotel Paris is a local family owned chain and it is not the worst of them...

Room tip: Room 204 or 207 the WIFI works... if the wifi does not work (which is the norm) they will not accommodate you with a room change... It is central and the street market is close and interesting... There is a clean and safe park right across the street... there is incredibly good dental service in the city at world beating prices...

Very helpful hotel staff, in central city location, $13.00 taxi ride from airport, the hotel itself is old and tired. Had a very good conch seviche in restaurant, air conditioner in room ran only on full bore ice cold.

Located in front of Central Park, it was a nice enough location although I didn't have any time to explore the vicinity although we did stop by the "Walmart" around the corner for some treats. The rooms were pretty basic and the staff were really friendly. There was a computer we could use for checking email or internet and of course there was wifi available. The showers took awhile to get warm and the older rooms in the hotel weren't the best but it was adequate. The only annoyance are the cab drivers. The hotel staff would let us know the price of the cabs to certain places but it would invariably be incorrect as many refused to give the cheaper price if there was only 1-2 people they were driving.

Room tip: Try to get the newer side
