My husband had a prime rib which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had lasagne that was huge. It had plenty of meat and cheese and was very delicious. I asked for a box to bring home and there was still enough afterwards for 2 lunches. On the downside, the service was extremely slow. The bartender has to serve the bar and all of the tables in the bar area. Clearly, he was overwhelmed and not able to keep up.

While visiting Augusta, Ga., we stopped at this restaurant after having eatened here 25 years ago. Still the same owner and manager, Peggy Schaffer. This restaurant is famous for German food all prepared on site by the 79 yr old owner. The diner meals we had were very delicious. The salad and chicken strips l had were supreme. The tastiest chicken strips l ever had. The wurst platter was heavenly. Our waiter was Cody Swartz. His service was above and beyond excelent. This place is a Must.

Food was great as usual and service was excellent! Tripp was our waiter and he did a good job playing happy birthday on the bells for a party beside us. Great dining experience!

We were in Augusta as evacuees of Matthew and were attracted to Villa Europa b/c of its German specialties. It's a dated and tired place but the food was good and the place was packed when we arrived. We really enjoyed appetizers of the fried mushrooms with horseradish sauce and the German style pretzels with Bier-cheese sauce (mmm!). We both had schnitzels for our entrees as well as the accompanying German salad. Both the Zigeunerschnitzel and the Weiner schnitzel were good. The salads were a bit watery and mushy. The Warsteiner draft and the house wine were very good. Service was efficient and friendly. It was a good meal!
