We were taken aback by the hotel on arrival, the surroundings and restaurant. It is a very nice place, but the location isn't great to explore Agadir.

The breakfast, lunch and dinner food were all good. All be it the lunch menu very small. Note the restaurant doesn't open until 8pm, personally a negative but I believe fairly typical of Morocco.

The spa, all be it we never took up any paid service, was very poor. Cold cold water in the 'heated' pool. Extremely dark all round, the sauna was turned off and only partially hot when we entered and the jacuzzi lacking of any power and again cold.

The hotel was what disappointed the most, the turn-down service took our soap away, didn't provide new, no new water was provided, there were adult and baby cockroaches in the room, we found used cotton buds in the box in our bathroom, the bath plug didn't close on the fancy ornamental bath, we couldn't get an iron and ironing board for five minutes to iron a dress, instead were advised repeatedly to pay and wait for their service, the sun beds by the pool were all broken, a struggle to find one you could sit-up on without it falling down.

The worst thing, after the first day we kindly advised the hotel manager with a list of things to improve. Nothing was taken on board in the subsequent nights stay and no form of any recommence was even offered - this is extremely poor service anywhere.

Wonderful experience. My suite on the third floor was very nice, with views to die for. The staff were excellent, in particular tarek and amin in the restaurant, who could not do enough for me. Head of staff rachid was very helpful and assisted me whenever i needed help. The riad is very spacious and a great place to bring children, who are totally catered for. Highly recommended and I am coming same time next yr. Weather was superb with daytime being around 30 degrees

Room Tip: 2nd or third floor with pool views

Le Riad Villa Blanche is quite simply pure luxury with everything presented in beautiful, traditional Moroccan style.
We were warmly welcomed by Rashid who quickly ushered a strapping, hunky Porter !!! to carry our bags, and were escorted to a bright reception area (with stunningly carved wooden doorways) where check-in was swift & efficient.
We were offered a welcome drink of sweet Moroccan tea on the pool terrace & then shown to our room, just a "Classic" double, which turned out to be much more than "just" anything... The bedroom was stunning, very spacious, beautifully designed & an absolute pleasure to behold! The bathroom, too, was beautiful, spotlessly clean with lots of little design features everywhere, separate shower, loo & bidet, and gorgeous tiles throughout!
We also had a little balcony which looked out onto the same tiny courtyard as that used by the hotel's integral Spa; other features of note included a large, comfy sofa, massive bed with fluffy pillows & crisp, all-white linens, excellent TV service, lots of little Moroccan objét-d'arts trinkets on the shelves and... wait for it... delicious, yummie candies in a sweetie jar! We thought we'd died & gone to Moroccan heaven!
There's a gorgeous Spa downstairs which we took full advantage of (pool, jacuzzi, steam/sauna/massage therapy rooms, as standard in an establishment such as this), and there's the most amazing interior courtyard area which dominates the centre heart of this beautiful Moroccan property, and is all aglow with candlelight once evening falls... perfect for romantics!
All the staff were super friendly, everyone had a smile, no matter what department. There are even two resident kitties roaming around who were a welcome addition for us cat lovers!
The hotel serves excellent food... in particular, breakfast was astoundingly good, served by the pool & with lots of sweet & savoury options, from typically Moroccan quiches & yoghurt to the more European pancakes & jams.
All meals are at additional cost at Villa Blanche, but still extremely good value. We also enjoyed our evening meal here, they offer quite an extensive menu (lots of different fish options along with the usual tagine dishes); we noticed the restaurant was also popular with the locals which is always a good sign! My buddy had Oysters, I had a Prawn/John Dorey/Crab combo with avocado, all of which was exquisite!
The only downside here is the service in the restaurant & bar which is painfully slow, and could so easily be remedied by taking on more staff. However, all our meals & drinks were always served with a smile, albeit a little apologetic for the length of time taken. But, no matter... we loved everything else & would very happily return for a longer stay in the new year.
In a nutshell... this place is gorgeous!
Advice is to JUST GO!!! xxx

What a beautiful hotel in the Riad style... My suite was very large with a private terrace overlooking the lovely garden and pool.Service is exceptional, the waiters remember your room number and the preferences you express at your first breakfast... Really very attentive! I would love to come back and highly recommend this hotel... And their food!
