I have visited the other side of this hotel, Caribbean Village, twice previously so had an idea of what to expect. The Tamlelt is a budget hotel but is good at what it does. The rooms are perfectly adequate and clean, spacious with plenty of storage space. The pool areas are kept clean with plenty of sunbeds and all inclusive drinks are readily available. The buffet restaurant serves a big selection of food and many different types of cuisine, something for everyone.
A definite recommend for families on a budget!

Room Tip: Rooms without a balcony have a lot more space and have fully opening doors/windows.

ive read reviews on here that slate this resort unfairly at the end of the day its a budget hotel it doesn't try to be anything else and quite simply for the price we paid the sunshine was fab we had 14 days of glorious sunshine from 10th - 24th November 2015

rooms : basic but adequate you only need it to shower and sleep in

food: isn't the greatest it caters more to the European guests (French/german etc)
im a fussy eater but I always found something to my likeing never went hungry
we tried most of the themed restaurants they all have a set menu nothing outstanding

staff: were nothing but courteous at all times(particuarily Samir in the main buffet ) certainly never treated guests like cattle as some reviews suggest

pools: we only used the pools by the main entertainment area/bar to sunbathe and only swam once on the first morning they where very cold and at about 4:00 pm everyday turned in to a giant bird bath with scores of seagulls descending on it drinking bathing defacating I know they were cleaned every morning but seeing it once put me off going in again

bars : we used the bar by the entertainment area drinks are served in plastic beakers
1 bar serves alchohol 1 bar serves soft drinks /tea / coffee as it was end of season the swim up bar was closed just as well considering the temp of the water I would suggest you do what I do and take a bubba keg or insulated mug /cup if you want a bigger beer we also used the bar at the caribbean village a couple of times it's indoor has free wifi but if like us you don't smoke it's not very pleasant

beach : only went once and wasn't impressed drinks in tiny plastic cups and beach area looked a bit scruffy not worth the walk
it's safe to walk outside the complex but everyone wants you to buy from their shop you just need to haggle prices always start very low

in summary if you want a cheap no frills break plenty of sun then don't be put off by some of the reviews on here try it you may be surprised

Just spent 9 days to El Pueblo Tamlelt. We were a little apprehensive after reading some of the negative reviews.
Well, we found this hotel to be excellent value. It's a sprawling complex and is actually combined with Carribean Village. There are 5 different swimming pools (all excellent) The rooms are comfortable and clean. All the staff were great-cheerful and always willing to help. As an example, we requested a room change because we found the 1st room allocated (B12) to be too noisy (people banging doors, reps giving information talks etc- admittedly I am very poor at tolerating noise at night). The reception staff did this immediately and relocated us to the top floor in a different block. This was much nicer and I didn't suffer any sleepless at all! The nights were quite cold, so we asked for extra blankets and this was done straightaway too.
The location is fine if you just want to relax as the beach is about 300m. If you want to travel into town, the orange 'petit' taxis can be hailed just outside the hotel. The entire surrounding area seems to be tourist hotels and restaurants.
We were lucky with really nice weather in December, but the water was very cold both at the beach and all but one of the swimming pools. Strangely, the swimming pool near the Madame Butterfly restaurant was pleasantly warm for most of the day.
The standard buffet type meals are repetitive and bland, but the soups and salads were always excellent. For dinner, I would recommend booking one of the 6 themed restaurants. They were all superb.
If you want 5 star luxury, you better book elsewhere, but if you want to relax in lovely surroundings, be served by warm, friendly staff, then ignore all the negative stuff and just book this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms higher up will be quieter.

Spent 7 days All inclusive, there from 26/11/15 to 3/12/15 and wish I was still there.
The place is fabulous, the photos don't do it justice.
The weather was glorious, sunbathing weather all week, plenty of comfy sunbeds.
Pools are clean and pretty, we used the heated one only though, the main one was too cold at this time of year.
Staff (all of them) were so friendly and helpful, couldn't fault them, nothing was too much trouble.
A particular mention for Hasna and the guys.
Food, plenty to choose from, buffet restaurant is fabulous plus 5 super theme restaurants.
Rooms, clean, shower piping hot, cleaned regularly, towels changed whenever you wish.
Beautiful beach (with private section with bar) was a pleasant few minutes walk away.
Lovely sunsets, worth an evening stroll.
One con for me, the beds are so hard (hurt my hips but may be fine if you're used to a very firm mattress).
Oh yes, there are LOTS of stairs but you can avoid a lot of them.
All in all a cheap but thoroughly enjoyable holiday, can't wait to go again.

Room Tip: G2 large family room given even tho only 2 of us. Quiet, ground level, pretty garden view.
