The kids and I stayed here in August 2015. Hotel and rooms weren't great- we got moved when we got there as we had requested ground floor and been up on the top floor in a room with NO AIR CON...which in heat of up to 38 degrees was needed! We were moved to a ground floor room that overlooked the pool.
Location of the hotel is not great but we managed to go out on a few trips to get out.
Best thing about the hotel is the different cultural restaurants that you book the day before- they were a great experience - most of the waiting staff were lovely and deserved to be tipped as they would go over and above the call of duty to keep your glass filled and the kids happy!

Pools were clean and there was a man around who, if you tip him on the first few days would get you sun beds most days - which were rarely free in the mornings unless you got up at six to beat the mostly rude German guests who would literally cordon off a whole area with their towels at 6-15am!!

Evening entertainment on the whole was much better than in some other places we have been....shows in the amphitheatre most nights but nothing much to do around the bar area other than sit and read or play cards listening to booming ear deafening crappy music!

Overall, the hotel was good value for money. The ONLY real annoyance and pain was that you had to get soft drinks from one bar and alcohol from another- that was a stupid system that most people we spoke to that had kids found a problem and a waste of time!

We visited the Tamlelt hotel in January and had a great time. This complex has 6 swimming pools, 7 different restaurants and the entertainment team was great. We stayed in room D44 which had a lovely sea side view. We booked the hotel, then checked the reviews and were a little bit worried about what some of the bad reviews said we even thought about changing the booking. What a mistake that would have been! We spent 7 days trying to find a fault in the hotel/service/food but simply couldn't think of anything. We were looked after well. The rooms were cleaned to a very high standard. We left a tip for the cleaner every other day and had fresh towels every day and all of our clothes were folded/hang in the wardrobe everyday. We had our breakfast and lunch in the main restaurant, and there were different dishes everyday, something for everyone. We booked the themed restaurants for the evening meals and wow, they were incredible! Whatever you do, make sure you do not miss the Medina and Butterfly dinners - they were simply delicious. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The entertainment team was great - lots of games and activities to cater for everyone. The hotel has a few shops in there and the prices are very competitive. We will definitely come back to this hotel as we simply couldn't find a single fault! Absolutely loved it! Well done Tamlelt, thank you for amazing holiday :)

This is a great budget hotel good food friendly staff
The downside is lots of steps most blocks have no lift so if mobility probably try elsewhere but if you are healthy fantastic budget hotel
Beds comfy some parts are ageing but kept clean

Room Tip: Stayed c36 roadside but sun all day quiet enough at night

Stayed at the tamlelt this time always stay Caribbean side , this was cheaper but still fantastic for the money , our rooms were lovely D41. D42 now 42 had a beautiful sea view , you can see the sun setting , but also both rooms were , road side , our friends room 41 was very quiet at night , ours 42 was very noisey as I'm a light sleeper , but I think if the balcony door shut it would of been quiet , I did report it , but you could see it needed a new door , but we stayed as the view was nice , food still good , you won't starve here , and staff friendly , did have an episode with some man , who was drunk most times , and thought because he'd been going there for 10yrs , thought he owned the place , decided at a karaoke night there , that he could pretend to spit at a 7yr old boy for playing his little drum , I told him it was disgusting vile , to pretend to do this , he mentioned it to his friends that go there often to , so bad vibes when we were out on an evening , now I've been going there to for years and have never seen so many rude , moaning guests , but we still enjoyed and just laughed it off

PRIMO! too many names of the same spot - just to confuse everybody around !
SECONDO! too many staff for off- season period!
TERCO! (everyone can find something) for me - cleaning ladies chatting early morning just next to your door-(doors are very thin and not sealed well) - too noisy for hang over guests at 7am!
some guests will tell you about very firm beds , other about food , but...I like it over all! Very nice gardens , nice rooms and some restaurants, pools ,food and staff!
This is 3 star hotel , payed as 2 star but service is for 4 star! If I can calculate in bargain price
than it's 5 star!
