Riad Ahlam scores highly for it's professionalism and attention to detail. Small things that the occasional traveller may miss but for a seasoned visitor to hotels in Morocco they stand out. Both Kacem and his staff are perfect examples of Moroccan hospitality. The Riad itself is very well located at the edge of the medina close to Bab Boujloud. I've visited Fez several times and I have found the medina hassle free. The dining at Ahlam is also very good and I highly recommend you take this option as opposed to restaurants at the top of the main streets which are fine for lunch time options watching the world go by.

We stayed in this riad for two nights during our visit to Fes. It is only two blocks away from the main street in the medina. The manager as well as the housekeeping staff were very friendly and were always there to help whenever they could. It is our first time staying in an almost 1000 years old building so it was really special for us. Breakfast was very good, and we really enjoyed some of the Moroccan bread. The only thing I wished was to put more lights in the room. Other than that, the riad is perfect!

Riad ahlam was a good surprise. Well located, nice rooms, good price, impecable. The manager and staff love what they do and this reflects on everything. Nice rooftop with amazing view! Nice restaurants nearby, amazing destination. Medina of Fez has 1200 years of history and sometime seems that nothing has change.
Bettter going by plane and buy tickets in advance.

Imagine a typical Marroco Riad, very very very well located (1 min walking from parking). Now, add an amazing breakfast. And the most amazing staff I have ever seen: so kind, helpfull and that do everything to make you fell really home. That's Riad Ahlam!
