Loved just sitting on the roof top late in the cooler evening air over looking Fes.
A three night stop over and could not have been more pleased. Fantastic location near the Blue gate. Tea on arrival, the traditional Moroccan greeting of friendship and welcome, which was extended over our time there by Ali and the other staff.
They have a range of rooms at differing rates. Good breakfast included. Roof top afforded good views and a breeze at night to sit and drink. Fantastic environs.
We were looked after exceptionally well by Ali - who was on 'Uni break' - he looked after us like he would the Sultan. An impressive young man who speaks 5 languages and has big dreams. If he is Morocco's future then it will surely be a bright one. He will no doubt see those dreams to fruition.
Shared bathroom was fine for us, some other rooms had their own. Very hot ( 44+C ) but with a fan we were fine as our room was very cool. It was very quite and tranquil in the heat of the day.
An oasis in the labyrinth that is the old Fes but fairly easy to find this gem. Can walk to it easily from the bus station and not deep in the bowels so a taxi if you are coming by train/plane to the Blue Gate affords but a short walk.
Very highly recommended - 6 out of 5.
