If you are looking for an authentic Moroccan experience then this Riad is perfect. A conveniently located Riad, 15 mins from the airport by car and a 15 mins walk to the heart and soul of Marrakech, the Square. We went as a group of 14, adults and children so this saved us a lot of money in travel expenses.

The Riad can only be described as a beautifully decorated magical oasis which suddenly appears within the old and dusty alleyways of the old part of Marrakesh. The rooms are all decorated in individual authentic styles and have their own en-suites. The pool is small but perfectly located in the middle of the Riad, our kids would not come out.

The Riad comes with its own housemaid, Raja who did our washing and ironing free of charge whenever it was needed. 14 people’s dirty linen and she never once complained, always smiled and willing to do more.

Simple but nice breakfast was served each morning when you were ready to eat without haven’t to wait for the rest of the group which was perfect as we all woke up at different times.

Between Khalil and Chaouqi (Manager), there was always a person on site 24 hrs a day in case we needed anything. Both Khalil and Chaouqi arranged all our trips, ensuring we got the best deals and advised us of costs so that we avoided being ripped off, which is very common in Marrakech. They even escorted us to the local barbers, chemist and local food stalls so that we did not get lost in amongst the small streets.

Raja, Khalil and Chaouqi were brilliant; always willing to help day or night; extremely friendly and treated us like their own family. We couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you for making our staying wonderful.

Overall a brilliant place to visit and stay in and I thoroughly recommend this to families, friends or couples.

Maz Ahmed - August 23rd 2016

Room tip: Take one of the rooms on the first floor towards the back of the Riad as this is quieter and cooler than the top floor and ground floor

We stayed at this hotel for 10 nights and The location is great for the souks and places to eat plus the staff will happily order you a taxi if required .
We stayed here for 10 nights but this hotel is best for a short break in Marrakech , so no more than 3 nights !

Pros :
Staff are polite and choqui who seems to be the manager , was very good in helping us plan our excursions.

Cons :
Upon arrival , we realised we had a broken shower head . This was immediately fixed and we were happy with that .

Members of staff are unprofessional. They would allow friends to come in and sit in the lobby or indoor pool/ dining area at any time of the day so that they can use the wifi . As a result they would still be socialising loudly whilst guests are sleeping . At one point I had to come downstairs at 3am and ask them to keep it down ! Furthermore , we would fear for our belongings as there would be different people coming in and out (family and friends) who were not guests but either coming in for a casual chat or to use the wifi . I'm not sure if this is the African culture , but we felt very uncomfortable by the end of our stay .

We also felt the breakfast was of poor quality and needs to be looked at . We paid for bed and breakfast and were expecting either hot cooked breakfast or an intercontinental breakfast . We were served with plain bread with honey , jam and butter and tea. This was the same every single morning for our 10 night stay !! I've never had so much bread in my life ! We eventually asked for fried eggs and were given one plain omelette to share between us !

Our bedding was only changed once , on day 3 out of a 10 night stay . Pool was usually dirty so we didn't use it as much as we would have liked

We were offered complimentary freshly cooked dinner at the hotel . We accepted the offer as we were not told there would be a charge . We asked for just tajine but were served a 3 course meal ! As we thought it was free we just ate what was brought to us . The food was however delicious , but we were then asked to pay 310 dirhams the next morning ! Each night we would pay only about 120 dirhams for the both of us for dinner so we felt we were ripped off .We also felt this was a bit deceitful and that the staff need to communicate affectively with their guests !
Overall we wouldn't stay here again !

Beautiful place to stay; quiet , calm and clean. Best point is the staff who cannot do enough to help you. We were escorted to a restaurant one night to ensure we didn't get lost! So kind and attentive! Would recommend to anyone looking for a central and authentic place to stay! If you do, make sure you have dinner there at least once!

It can seem bewildering arriving in old town Marrakech after dark, but the welcome you get at this riad immediately makes you feel at home. It is a lovely character boutique hotel with charming rooms around a beautiful internal courtyard. The breakfast/restaurant area borders a small attractive pool which is all you need to cool down after a hot day's sight seeing. The rooms are charming and there is a roof terrace for either full on sun or a scenic sunset drink overlooking the Atlas Mountains and Marrakech rooftops. Marrakech itself is fascinating, and it is easy to lose yourself in the little alley ways (nurdy as it may sound my compass was very handy in the Souks!), but Chaqui will advise you where to go and in fact will answer all your questions, with a smile. We used very reasonable transfers arranged by Chaqui, and when we didn't eat in the riad he was on hand to recommend elsewhere. I must say the dinners in the riad were a highlight though. The lovely surroundings and wonderful traditional food are hard to beat outside the hotel...but book the day before to avoid disappointment. The standard of friendly service here was something we don't get often elsewhere. I would definitely return, and I wish all the friendly staff well!
