I travelled alone to Morocco for a quick vacation before a business trip in Europe. After doing hours and hours of research on the internet to find the best riad, I carefully selected Riad Khabia and am SO happy I did. Julien and his mother, Dany, were fantastic hosts. From the moment Julien met me at my taxi drop-off to the moment I hugged them goodbye, they were perfect. They were so kind and generous. And extremely attentive, but not overbearing. They both gave me great suggestions of things to do in Marrakech (as I came with no idea of how to I would spend my time!) and helped me plan my days. They both gave honest and very helpful opinions of places to see, restaurants to eat at, etc.

The riad itself was also extremely lovely. It is the perfect place to stay in Marrakech. It is the perfect mix of being (or at least seeming) authentically Moroccan while also providing every western comfort. I stayed in the budget double room and there was nothing budget about it. I wish I could live in that room! Every detail of the room is beautifully crafted. Every single detail. I tried to take photos to show family back home but the photos just don't do it justice. The windows and doors look like they are hundreds of years old. But yet the place is spotlessly clean and modern. Again - a perfect mix!

It is such a lovely, beautiful, peaceful place, my only regret from the trip is that I spent so much time sightseeing I didn't get to spend much time in the riad. I will definitely be coming back to Marrakech, if only to stay at Riad Khabia again. And I will definitely include hours of "hanging out at the riad" in the itinerary for my next trip.

Other notes: The riad was about a 10 minute walk from Jemma el Fna. I was very happy with the location. Far enough away from the action to relax but close enough to get back and forth easily. Also, the breakfast was lovely. They have a crepe-like dish they serve with jam, fresh fruit, coffee, and fresh squeezed juice - simple but delicious. And served on their beautiful rooftop! It was one of the many highlights of the stay.

We stayed 7 nights in a deluxe room. We had an excellent stay - very friendly and attentive staff with good attention to detail. Our room was cleaned every day, and mint tea was freely available upon request at any time. Breakfast on the terrace is also a bonus.

We had the budget twin room which was very pretty und comfortable. Beautiful bathroom, heater - which is necessary at this time of the year. The hosts are super friendly and happy to provide a lot of useful information. Nice breakfast, ever available mint tea and a good talk came on top of that. Would definitely choose again.
