Whoever plans going to Marrakech, should definitely choose to stay at lovely Riad Lhena. It is situated perfectly in the city center, just some steps from lively Djemaa el Fna, but nevertheless in a very nice and quiet family neighborhood, one would not expect at first. For arriving an airport transfer can be offered, just contact Myriam Dumont, the director of Riad Lhena. She is the most amiable host, giving support and advice in all matters, from arranging an amazing trip to the countryside to insiders´ tips about the city, like visting the authentic hammam just around the corner up to sharing your joy on new beautiful treasures found in the souks. Don't miss Yassine Hanafi's offered in-house massage to complete your holiday recreation. Given with long years of experience it deeply relaxes body and mind following his personal philosophy of the significance and impact of respectful touch.
You can be sure to sleep in very nice and tasteful traditional rooms, in this regard I'm always a very hard critic. I dislike nothing more than loveless and half-hearted decoration. I especially loved the black and white tiled Pacha room with it´s copper bath tub, my personal highlight at Riad Lhena. In the mornings delicious moroccan breakfast was served at Riad Lhenas beautiful terrace, viewing on the picturesque Koutoubia mosque, or if you prefer sitting under the lovely mandarine tree in the friendly patio with little birds chirping for you. But all this is nothing without the right people. The most wonderful thing about this place was feeling like a friend from the first step you make into Riad Lhena, instead of feeling just like one of many other clients. Thanks to Myriam and Yassine you feel at home at vibrant and compelling Marrakech, merci infiniment!

Room Tip: ask for the Pacha room with its wonderful copper bath tub!

I had booked a room at this Riad through Hotels.com and was about to leave for Morocco, when I received a strange email IN FRENCH. The email address came from "booking@origins" and I assumed it was from booking.com,since I often use that site. It had no headline and the email consisted of one simple line. No Greeting, no ending, no explanation. Only one line, which I translated and it was basically "this is to confirm your booking number xxxx has been cancelled"
That was it. Curiously enough the booking number was not at all mine. I called Hotels.com and they actually assured me that my booking was NOT cancelled at all and that the Hotel would have to do this through Hotels.com. The Agent tried to reach the Riad by phone and email without any luck at all. I wrote email after email both in english and french to ask if they really cancelled my booking or if the email was a mistake of some kind (eve the agent from Hotels.com said that the booking number didnt match any records)....on my way o Morocco I kept writing emails and checking my email and never got a reply. Lucky I did not fly into Marrakech. SO once I was in my first HOtel I asked the owner to call this Riad. She was more lucky and talked to 2 people-which seemed to be a very long conversation. Basically they said that they indeed cancelled my reservation cause someone who works for them was making all kinds of "deals" online which should have never happened and they now have to cancel a bunch of bookings. So normally the rate is 75 euro...but "if I want" they can offer me a ate of 45 Euro (I previously had a better deal through Hotels.com) SO now I knew. I later checked my email and they had also replied...NOW offering me another riad for 69 euro ! I told them that this is totally unprofessional. I mean this is business.IF they want to work with HOtels.com they should honor the booking OR AT LEAST cancel the booking THROUGH the HOtel.com website OR at the very least write up an apologetic email, explaining everything. Just be aware. These people are just horrible business people ! I will file a huge complain with HOtels.com !

We choosed Riad Lhena and Marrakech to spend our 3rd wedding anniversary. We arranged with the hotel our airport pick up and once we arrived at Riad Lhena we were welcomed with a delicious marocaan tea and nuts. Once we went to our room we found rose petals laying in our bed and in the bathroom, gorgeous and very romantic, The golden bathroom as well all the other spaces at the Riad are so beautifully decorated. The stuff at the riad were super friendly and polite. Mahommed and Azmehd helped us with any request we had even if that meant getting us some food and supplies outdoors because we didn't felt like leaving the Riad for dinner. On the first night we were welcomed with a 3 course menu dinner. And as they knew it was our wedding anniversary they even made us an anniversary cake. Great customer care, loved it. The breakfast is diverse and everyday you get something else. As we arrived on the first day of Ramadan, which means low season, we had the Riad all for us. So that was for us an extra bonus ;-). The Riad is located in the Medina and easily to walk to the souks. The only minus was that wifi didn't worked in the room. Once we would go outside and sit on the chair outside the room wifi would work perfectly as well as downstairs. We spend three days there and we loved it. Would definitely stay here again if I visit Marrakech.

Room Tip: Rooms are all very charming

We stayed in Riad Lhena for three nights and it's a lovely and charming Riad in Marrakech. The rooms were nicely designed and very clean with small details like roses on the bed and towels. The breakfast was very tasty and served whenever we wished for in the morning. The people working in the riad really made us feel like home and we would like to thank ALL of you who made our stay just amazing! Kaltoum the riad manager was absolutely great and she made sure we had a fantastic stay in Marrakech! We'll come back soon and we will recommend this place to everyone traveling to Marrakech!

This company sure knows what customer service and offering a genuine Morrocan experience is all about! I thoroughly recommend staying a few days at one of their Riads, but just make sure you take a day or to to travel up into the Atlas Mountains as well. Yours truly spent a day hiking around Imil and it was just wonderful. The football pitch high up in the mountains where the local villagers meet up regularly for the beautiful game is a site to behold. I challenge anyone to find a pitch with a better view.

While at the Riad, make sure you sample some genuine Morrocan food cooked up be one of their excellent chefs. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who has a real drive to offer his guests a fantastic stay. Nice guy too.
