A quaint and peaceful place. Friendly staff. Well situated in the centre of town. Limited parking space. Coffee and water in the room. Rooms are combined and can be transformed into family rooms. Which also means you can hear what happens in the next room. Privacy could be a concern.

Stayed: June 2017, travelled on business

Our Team stayed at Hotel Uhland in March and were very comfortable at the property and delighted with the Breakfast spread. The rooms were clean, well appointed, staff are well organized and the location is central; everything you expect of a hotel in this category. And the service was 1st Class! Nothing was too much for Irmgard and her team and they were exceptionally accommodating with our last minute changes. Thank you sincerely for your excellent service and attention, we will be back!

Stayed one night while going over to Swakopmund. For the price you have a very nicely decorated, very clean to the farthest corner, almost within walking distance to everything in the city hotel room. If you are accustomed to 150+ USD 5+star places DO NOT stay here. The efficiency (what you get for what you pay) is much higher here!!! Did not try the breakfast so cannot comment. If I ever have to stay sometime again in Windhoek Uhland will be my choice.

I do not like to be negitive but can not do this without using words like "substandard" "useless" and "broken".
Just sat in the breakfast are for 45mins being ignored by the "friendly" staff. The instant coffee was the highlight.
Gave upon the aircon after fiddling with it for 15mins or it gave up on life I am still not sure life is just to short.......
I am doing this from my roaming wifi as

Sure there are better around.

Room Tip: Find another hotel

We stayed here for the first and last night of our Namibia tour. The first night was not great as we arrived late and they put us into 'standard' rooms, which were hot and looked as though they had been built out of a shed. The last night we stayed in their superior rooms and they were REALLY GOOD, with a/c and spacious. Great little plunge pool for a hot day. Breakfast was good. As a hotel they do commit several crimes against humanity: 1) Poly cotton sheets. Just no. Fine if you are staying with your mum. But not in a hot climate. 2) Instant coffee. Guys, this is 2016. Please. 3) Fake juice. Why fake juice when the rest of the breakfast is AMAZING? (warm rolls, cereals, hot brekkie, meats, cheeses, yoghurts etc etc).

Room Tip: Get a superior room with a/c
