We had a short stay here on the way to Gorilla Trekking. It was about an hour from the airport. The grounds appeared expansive and beautiful. Our room was large, and the bathrooms were lovely. Our front window lock was broken, and the there appeared to be a couple of pictures missing, as there were a couple of empty nails on the walls. The staff treated us well.

The landscaping here is one of the most exquisite picturesque things. Well done lawns and lovely paths leading to the guest blocks. And just like the sister in Kampala Serena, water fountains!
The rooms are spacious here and the staff very friendly and helpful, albeit a few are slow. Initially, the rooms were not well stocked with all the toiletries, we had to request and after that they kept us on over-supply; good response.
Nothing as lovely as waking up to see the lake view from the balcony.
Golfers, this place is for you too. They are adding more holes so more improvement.
The marina is a good point to rest and have a drink after taking a walk round the hotel which is just soooo big.
The pool and spa are smaller than those in Kampala Serena but do the job.
Best part for me was the evening boat ride. Patrick was our guide and we had a mighty good time speeding and slowing to take pictures and see a few islands as well as birds. You gotta take this ride!!!
And some holiday homes are being put up as well so it's very well worth considering for a summer holiday. P.s. the homes are beautiful, furnished, spacious, etc, simply lovely.

Room Tip: Take blocks that are closer to the lake and give a lovely lake view.

I travel quite a bit to Uganda on business and recently discovered the gem that is this place. It has become the defacto last-night stop as I leave, as well as a quick weekend getaway - travelling both solo and as a couple. The rates are friendly enough for me to keep coming back.

The road to the resort is bumpy, would recommend you have a good car to get you there. But once you get there it's as if the bumpiness of the ride melts away in the glow of true Serena Hospitality. Easy check in, friendly staff and a beautiful view.

The resort has a 9-hole golf course (soon to be expanded) and a Marina - that has a lovely restaurant. The main restaurant is great - good food, good house wine and good wine list. And not unnecesarily pricey.

Fantastic spa experience. The ambience on the main terrace is fantastic whether to have a glass of wine or to get some work done.

Lovely rooms, lake view, very spacious, very clean, great room service - signature Serena style.

I've already booked my trip to spend my NYE there with friends. I'm sure I will not be disappointed.

Great job!! Keep it up!

Room Tip: Ask for lake view, top storey.

This is where our 10days safari began from. Overseeing Lake Victoria, the hotel is a real masterpiece of luxury. Has a wonderful that welcomes you with a smile and that doesn't go away. Their restaurant is simply arresting, nice African and continental food. When you walk down to their newly established golf course resort, you appreciate luxury more.

Great choice for our first night in Uganda on our way to Bwindi to see the gorillas. Lovely resort. Relaxing. And we had a lovely view of Lake Victoria. The staff was helpful and friendly. And the menu had many options.
