We had a great experience with our 13 year old son and our 4 year old grandson. It was a unique way to spend the Easter holiday! The staff of the complex did a fantastic job in organizing events and appealing to all age groups. The only thing that could have made it better would have been Mother Nature's cooperation.

This presidential library and museum has an amazing WWII exhibit that really brought the history to life. Easily my favorite part. Also situated on the grounds of his boyhood home it painted a great portrait of an amazing general, President and leader.

I went for Eisenhower, but was most fascinated by the temporary exhibit about the Chisholm Trail and the early days of Abilene. The museum overall was very well done; nicely balanced among personal life, military and political career. The boyhood home was interesting, although it was only a very short tour of the first floor. I skipped the library and meditation chamber entirely and still spend several hours on site. I would recommend skipping the movie at the visitor center, unless you just want to relax for 25 minutes - it struck me as being jingoistic and worshipful.

This is a great place to visit with the boyhood home, museum, library, and place of meditation. Lots of memorabilia is in the museum and the place of meditation is beautiful. The visitor center shows a video with good information, plus has a gift shop.
