Recommended by local walking tour guide and not disappointed. Had two lots of mo mos (steamed dumplings) and a chicken and vegie dish. Heaps for 2 people. The local Everest beer was huge but refreshing. Watch out for the tax and service charge at the end of the bill. Includes tip. Sat upstairs and on the floor. A fun experience talking to other travellers.

Been to Nepal three times over the past twenty years and visit the thamel house each time. The food is tasty and good and doesn't disappoint either at lunch or dinner time. The set menu affords the opportunity to try different dishes and all for about £9. Beer will bump up the price, but it's still good. You can either be seated on chairs in the covered courtyard or on cushions on the floor upstairs. Service is good and the raksi (rice wine) is pretty strong and free flowing if you ask. Certainly recommended and is a welcome break after shopping down the dusty lanes of Thamel.

What a find! At the back of an old Nepali building is a covered courtyard and the most delicious menu. Complementary rice wine taster and an amuse bouch, followed by momos, chicken grill and curry to share, and potato pickle. The service and the food was amazing, total meal cost with water, diet coke and beer was 3000rs, well worth the money

We visited the place in order to have Nepali meals, and we didn't regret it.
The place is big and has several seating areas: Nepali-wise and non Nepali-wise.
The menu is rich with Nepali meals and drinks.
The service is good, the prices are also reasonable.
We had a good time there.. worth a visit although a bit touristic place.
