Dr. Chintamani is a wonderful guru, and the location could not be more ideal for a beautiful and fulfilling yoga education. Expect humble food and accommodation, but relish in the simplicity and purity of life and movement and get to know your body and mind in the most stunning location ever. Yogic food and practices will ground you and clean you of the everyday rush of home. I did the YTT 200 hours training and miss the rural Nepali views and daily routine. It was educational and an all around beautiful experience. I can't recommend it highly enough for anyone looking to deepen your practice and learn to teach within a truly ideal and stunningly serene environment. Thank you Dr. Chintamani and all of his wonderful staff for making us all feel welcome and being such enthusiastic hosts to all who come through your doors.

Even when I've plan to do the TTC a while ago, the decision to it here in Nepal was a last minute thing. And as everything in life when is mean to be, it worked out wonderfully. I really enjoyed and appreciated the fact that we were a small group (12 people) and we got to know each other well. This also helped to develop a one to one relationship with our Guru, Dr Chintamani. He's a very playful personality although he also knows how to be serious and inspire respect. The synergy during the whole month was incredible. He's always willing to help with anything we need and to clarify any questions.
The theoretical classes were very interesting and included the most diverse topics. I think would be nice to have some complementary bibliography as the book we used doesn't say much about it.
We've learnt lots of different pranayam techniques, all of them very interesting for its health benefits.
Anatomy classes were given by Dr. Subodh a very capable man with a vast knowledge and experience and a funny sense of humor.
Asanas and workshop were very complete and enjoyable (traditional yoga style).
I'm very happy with the content of the course as well as the service provided by all the people at the school.
Very grateful to have had the chance to do my training here with all this wonderful and qualified people.

I decided to join my girlfriends on their trip to the Nepal Yoga Academy last minute. Dr Chintamani was very responsive and helpful with our request to add another person to the booking, we knew we were in good hands before we arrived. We had a driver pick us up at the airport and headed straight to the centre, the first thing I noticed was the peaceful energy of the place, and of course the beautiful view of the Kathmandu Valley. We were serve the most delicious vegan lunch shortly after we arrived made with nothing but pure love over a fire as Nepal is experiencing an energy crisis at the moment. On this note, we were made aware that electricity cuts out for about 10 hours a day but the retreat has battery generators which lighting etc is connected to. However if we wanted to take a shower we would have to inform one of the lovely staff so that thy could connect the gas in order to have a hot shower. It is a bit strange at first as we are all so used to having everything readily available at all times however it also makes you realise how lucky we are to have these luxuries and to not take them for granted.
We only stayed for 5 days and there was a yoga teacher training going on at the same time which we were able to join their daily schedule. I loved being able to practise every morning, it started at 6:30am with a cleansing neti pot session, followed by lovely herbal tea, made on the fire. Then we would do pranayama, have more lovely tea, practise yoga and meditation, then served an amazingly enriching breakfast by 8:30am. During the day we went on mini hikes with guides up to ancient cities, local organic farms etc. Then we would usually want to make it back in time for the evening yoga and meditation before dinner. All the food is 100% vegetarian (mostly vegan), sattvic, locally sourced and organic. I am vegan so I just mentioned it to Dr. Chintamani and they very kindly made sure that they substituted anything that did have animal products in it, which was usually the breakfast dishes.
Dr. Chintamani surprisingly manages to run everything with the help of his incredibly generous and kind staff, they all truly care about what they are doing and have a true passion and belief in what they are doing. That is what makes this place different from any other. I am so grateful for having found this place and hope to go back one day to complete my yoga teacher training (fingers crossed)!

A veey insightful and detailed Yoga education (Yoga Teacher Training, thought by Dr. Chintamani and Dr. Subodh, both very skilled Yogis, who are really dedicated to teaching not only the physical postures but aswell the philosophy and physiologi with makes the picture complete, and gives good background knowledge and confidence to lead Yoga classes. The food, service and accommodation is outstanding good, and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. Over all I warmly recommend this place to anyone who seeks a Yoga Teacher Training or a spiritual yoga retreat in Nepal.

Amazing experience and great learning from experienced and talentuous teachers! The yoga teacher training is perfectly fitted, with a good balance between theory, philosophy, breathing techniques and yoga practice. You will learn a lot from a theoretical and physical point of view but you will also have the opportunity to discover a new healthy way of living, in a wonderful peaceful environment. The surrounding mountains and amazingly kind and smiling staff will make your stay even more enjoyable. No doubt everyone would enjoy this retreat with delicious yogic food but mostly great people and teachers from who you will learn a lot about yoga but also yogic living style!
