Nice beautiful place tucked away in an alley with a tasteful selection of wines and outstanding service standards from our waitress.

the Hits: exceptional escargos, oysters and lamb.
The miss: the tartar was rather disappointing. Didn't taste fresh. And the fish main course was bland.

Other than that it's a quite a nice place.

This place was recommended to us by a friend who lives in BKK. Not the easiest to find but well worth the hunt. We sat outside at a beautiful slightly elevated table right in the corner. Ambience was lovely in the garden and the food was great. Starting with the amazing bread served, nit sure if it was baked on site but it definitely tasted like it. We bagan with the cheese soufle and home made terrine, both of which were great. This was followed by a perfectly cooked steak and a veal chop that melted in the mouth. We would absolutely go back which is the biggest compliment any place can get.

In 2016 I wrote "I don't know why I don't come here more often" and these words still accurately reflect my opinion of this restaurant.

Hadn't been back for a while, so the opportunity arose and I took it.

Really, nothing has changed. Decor is the same, its still busy, the lunch SET menu is still an incredible bargain and the wine list quite extensive, although pricey thanks to Thailand's import taxes on alcohol. That said, you can have a more than adequate bottle of red or white for £40.

The SET menu is the way to go IMHO. For £10, you get 2 courses and you'd pay that much for either of them at home.

Staff are attentive.

Bread is arguably the best in Bangkok.

Also, the quality this time surpassed my last visit, so I wonder if they may have a different chef.

If you like French cooking, this is a must in Bangkok.

An amazing restaurant spectacular food the cheese soufle the veal chop were cooked to beyond perfection.. only complain I have was the wine service it's 33* in Bangkok and red wine just cannot be served at that temperature had to keep putting ice in it to make it drinkable and that's a nono for wine !! But besides that little hiccup a spectacular mean lovely ambience a must visit ..

Tucked away in an alley on the bustling convent street in downtown Bangkok, Indigo has been a brilliant find.

The food, service, seating, atmosphere, value for money, wine selection are all superlative and hence have turned visiting Indigo almost a weekly affair for me, be it business lunches or dinner with friends. :)
