Sitting across the river from the Shangri-La Bangkok, the Ibis Bangkok Riverside has some very upscale neighbors. Unlike the luxury properties around it, this hotel - like all other Ibis properties is very spartan. Clean rooms are bare bones - just a bed, built in desk and a small bathroom with a shower the size of a phone booth. Sadly there is no balcony, and the small window in the room does not open. There is a charge for wi-fi, but like many Accor hotels, there is a computer corner with free desktops to use in the lobby. But with prices starting around $45 per night, it's an inexpensive option for a short stay.
Shuttle service from the hotel to the SkyTrain station across the river, or the ferry to cross the river is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel.More
