We always eat here when we come to Chiang Mai.
The restaurant is set in a beautiful colonial style building. There's a shop at the front - the restaurant is out the back. There is some tables and chairs in the garden as well.
This year we came here for breakfast. While the menu isn't extensive there is something for everyone. We chose western style food for breakfast. I had the Raming Red Tea - a delicious blend of black tea and rosella tea. Quite refreshing and a pleasant change from the usual tea options.
The garden out the back is lovley and it has clearly grown since we were last there.
Being set back from the road it's a peaceful place to eat and relax.
Happily come back next visit to Chiang Mai

Our guide took us there for lunch and what a joy that was! Just walking into this historically kept building was like taking a trip back in time. After a hot morning sightseeing to come into this quiet, cool refuge was lovely. We had chicken in red curry sauce with salad and Jasmin rice our guide had chilly spaghetti. The portions are good super fresh and served beautifully. We liked it so much we went back again the next day. Whether you go just for a coffee or take some of their excellent tea and pastries you are sure to be happy. This place is a real gem

A friend told us about Raming Tea House ... so it came highly recommended.

It's literally an oasis from a bygone era in the heart of Chiang Mai.
You feel as if you're walking back in time as you enter this Victorian Era teak structure.

It's lofty, airy and open. A wonderful place to enjoy an afternoon tea, delicious pastry or smoothie or lunch or breakfast.

To enter the restaurant, you pass Siam Celadon where you can purchase beautiful glazed celadon pottery (we certainly did!)

Now back to our food. Everything we ordered was wonderful. From the Mango Smoothies, Strawberry/Apple Crumbles, Brownies along with club sandwiches and more traditional Thai fare.

We enjoyed the food so much we came back twice.

And while you're here make sure to check out the beautifully-crafted glazed pottery from Siam Celadon. We purchased dinner/dessert plates a tea set and more. The staff was extremely helpful and arranged to expertly pack our purchases for our flight back home.
All the pieces made it through the light unscathed and we'll be enjoying them for years to come!

We happened upon this lovely tea room after shopping for the day. What a great find! The tea selection is quite good, and the service was great. Had earl grey and an almond biscuit. So yummy! The garden in the back really makes this a 5 star experience though. Great way to spend an hour or two chatting or reading a book.

Found this place by accident when walking past and what a lucky find. After battling the heat, noise and traffic I was delighted to stop here for a peaderful break and a cup of really good coffee. I also had a croissoint with jam which would have been much nicer if they hadn't put it in the microwave to heat it. Nevertheless, the staff were friendly and helpful and I will definitely go back if I get the chance.
