Stayed for 6 nights. Delicious breakfasts including scrumptious Thai pancakes which area custardy warm coconut flavoured bite sized treat. Crispy base. Not everywhere in Thailand we discovered. Chiang Mai is slightly cooler and slightly quieter than Phuket. 360 temples. Great restaurants.

Firstly the hotel carpark was indoor and very comfort. There was Beer garden besides the hotel with seafood or bbQ. I came there to have seminar with my business colleagues, room was stardard with comfort but seminar room was professional. Hotel Location is at the corner of street you can walk at night around and it took only few minutes to Night bazaar but if you would like to survey the town you had to take TUK TUK.... and you'll see many bars, restaurant pubs.

To me it is over-rated 4 star hotel. The room is tired looking and has a musty smell. The bed linen used is rather worn out and thin which gives an impression that it is not clean. We wasn't too comfortable with it and had to use a shawl to cover over. Basic Breakfast spread. The staff at both reception and restaurant was so so unfriendly which is so rare to find especially in Thailand. I agree that the facade looks impressive and it really ends there. The spa in the hotel is at level 2 and the operating hours is from 10am to 9pm. Do make an appointment as our friend has the experience of walking in at 10+ in the morning and was told that there is no therapist available till afternoon. If you would like to really pamper yourself I recommend the Rarinjinda Spa - they can arrange for a car to pick up from the hotel. A 3hrs package is approx. 5,000baht with light refreshment after the service.

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel. Location is quite good. Front desk staff wasn't pleasant looking. The hotel lobby was pleasant. Rooms quite clean but the bathroom is bad! The bathroom walls need a hard scrubbing. It was vey moldy - it looks like it has not been scrubbed for vey long time. It is black and dirty. The hotel management should look into this. The soap dish and other toilet accesories are being put in a rusty supposedly copper plate! Staff at the coffee house all look like they are doing a12 hours shift work - no smile.

thank you very much for taking the time to post on Trip Advisor!
We would like to thank you for having stayed with us last year. Your comments have been noted
and several points mentioned have been discussed with our staff. March is really high season and our staff are hard working, however not on 12 hours shift. Management will again and again emphasise and remind all the staff to smile. After all we are in the land of smiles and ways.
We do hope to have the opportunity to welcoming you back on another occasion.
Kind regards from the Imperial Mae Ping Hotel staff and management.

While the facade of the hotel looks quite impressive, they till have a long way to go as far as the small details are concerned.
The room itself was nice. Nothing fancy, but nice.
The bathroom was very average with numerous molds and stains, which were not removed even after we reported them.
The lobby was spacious with occasional artists performing.
Breakfast was always hectic, but was very nice and yummy.
The hotel's main plus is its location - a 5 minute walk from the famous (or is it infamous...) night market and a 2 minute walk from a very noisy club arena.

Thank you for taking your time to post here on Trip Advisor!
Your comments are very much appreciated and since your visit we are constantly keeping an eye on the area mentioned. Indeed our location makes it easy for the travellers not only to visit the night market but many other sightseeing spots in town and out of town.
We thank you for choosing our hotel and it would be our pleasure to welcoming you back to our hotel.
