We stayed 4 nights in this hotel(my family, 3 people). It is al about user experience. The hotel resembles like a rustic big wood made house in the middle of the florest. Whoever likes this environment, then Hotel is for you. It is also very well located, close to city center and night bazaar. However i personally prefer certain classical hotel comfort like big rooms, good bathroom and shower, good breakfast, elevators and overall infrastructure and facilities. Considering what i paid per night here and icomparing it with my stay in Bangkok and Krabi, i think it did not worth the price i paid for what i get.
The Good: Very Good location, Free Wifi, Friendly people, Bar Coctails
The Bad: rooms very small, bathroom with 2 temperatures, cold and very hot. Also the shower is a little bit cumbersome to get in, like in a "water well" , certainly not good for 75+ people. Air condition is located where sleeping is not comfortable, either you turn it off or get frozen during the night. Breakfast does not have too much options to chose, just average.
The Ugly: I paid 500 Baht for taxi transfer from Airport to Hotel(7 Minutes) arranged by hotel. In the way back i called myself a taxi and paid 180 baht. Such a big difference does not justify the commision of hotel for just making a call to the taxi office. But not only that, i asked receptionist to check how much a taxi would cost for visiting some places for half a day; she called and then told me1200 baht. Then i called directly and got 800 baht which i opted obviously to do. Although prices of Taxi in Thailand are really cheap compared with the rest of the world, i find really dissapointing that hotel charges commision of 50% or more for this.
