I have reviewed and visited Saigon Bistro on a number of occasions, and sorry to say that when I went there on October 19, 2014, it was closed, and boarded up with a sign for a new restaurant coming soon.

This restaurant offers Vietnamese and Western (Russian?) foods. Although some of them were modified to fit with Thai guests, they're still delicious. Grounded pork is awesome -- Real pork meat, not too much flour or fat, not too much pepper, and tasty. Price is acceptable or even cheaper than Vietnamese restaurants located in my area (Sriracha).

Saigon Bistro is located in the Central Festival Mall in Central Pattaya between second road and beach road. It is on the top floor with many other restaurants. I have visited on a number of occasions and have always been satisfied. The menu is primarily Vietnamese, with other specialties also. I would avoid the newly added to the menu sandwiches. I did not like them. But they have a special rice set and a special noodle set, which will give you lots of food. The portions are plentiful so decide if you want additional dishes. On the set specials some beverages are included, but there is a large selection besides those. The staff is attentive. Prices are reasonable. It is a good alternative for Pho rather than a trip to Vietnam.

Not exactly a pure Vietnamese restaurant as they are also serving other Asian and European cuisine. Their specialty is, of course, Pho which is quite okay, by the way, but I prefer their Bak Kuh Teh which is a Singaporean soup dish made of pork ribs.

The service is good and the staff are very polite. Price is very reasonable. I wouldn't mine coming back.

I previously lived in San Jose California. It has a Vietnamese population of over 100,000 and very many restaurants. Saigon Bistro would be completely lost in the competition and below average. It is medicure in both taste and quality.

The (pho) soups and main courses are bland, disappointing and not very authentic. Prices aren't very good considering it is basically the same ingredients as local Thai food, but with different seasoning and presentation. Saigon Bistro food is not real Vietnamese taste but just a Thai (Land of Copy) knock-off of the real thing.

If you must have Vietnamese food and don't have high expectations then this is the place to go because Pattaya doesn't have any really good Vietnamese restaurant.
