“Fine French cuisine but unless you fancy their design, there are better ones.”

We came here last October for my dad's birthday because i want my family to enjoy a luxury experience plus excellent food from one of the best hotel in Vietnam. The design are impressively over the top, feel like you step in a hotel for designers. The service was amazing, very attentive from the staff and i was really impressed by their knowledge. However, when you came to a restaurant in 5 star (advertised at 6 but in Vietnam 5 is highest) you had the assurance for the quality of food. We all ordered the set menu plus some items in a la carte menu. All dishes were cooked perfectly except our 2 main courses in "Menu du chef" which were steak. The mushroom sauce were too salty that we couldn't even finish the dish. I really appreciated the staff apology and let us try the dessert buffer foc but for the restaurant in the hotel like this, i expected an explanation and apology from the manager. Funny thing was there were 3 tables at that time and the manager was around but didnt attempt to make conversation with us. I'd give them a try again but since my mom just suffered minor food poisoning from another restaurant in this hotel so it's No for me. To be fair, there are much better French restaurant (Michelin quality) in Ho Chi Minh city but it chose this one because i was impressed by the design.

Had breakfast here and dinner. Order freshly cooked delights from the menu and partake of the international buffet with the usual suspects and more. The hot menu includes beef and chicken pho (not large servings) but beautifully presented with estock showing clear purpose. Or one might have the perfectly cooked omelette with anything you wish. The brioche french toast was decadently good. Make your own freshly shaved jamon with melon, drizzle with olive oil yum. Or smoked salmon and cream cheese on home baked breads and bagels. Wash this down with freshly brewed coffee (get the Vietnamese one ice cold if you like). There is fresh coconut juice which you can take to go for later. The gleaming copper steel and glass encased kitchen shows real quality and training. The dinner was fantastic. Cooked in the French way and served to perfection. Great value for what it is. There is a daily three course prix fixe menu for around $30!

Is ok but I don't like it as it's small and no live singer. It's too quiet. Almost no one. Doesn't have the ambience. Cappuccino is ok. Nothing to shout. Outside is a pool. Next to it is restaurant.

Celebration dinner with my wife so we decided to try the Cafe Cardinal in the Reverie. We are long time fans of their other fine dining restaurant, R&J.
Verdict, excellent, did not takeover from R&J as our favorite, but in the same class. From arrival down the stairs (little quirky, take the lift to 7th floor and then walk down stairs to 6th floor) where we were greeted by name by the waiting maitre d, the service was first class throughout. Food was excellent, smaller a la carte menu than many, but excellent options. Wine list was also good. Venue is not intimate with cathedral ceilings but is quite spectacular. Recommended

You want to spoil yourself?
Than try to take the lunch here, it's so good the food the test, the service, everything is so organized.
I am sure I will repeat the visit to here.
The hotel is luxury one, and near to all shop's if you would like to do shopping.
