First went to Doc Let Beach about 10 years ago and never miss going when I am I Nha Trang. We always hire a car for the day, 700,000 D with a driver for the day. Allow at least 90 minutes for the approx 40 K trip. This is not the resort but the beach with the huts that you hire for the day. The beer is very cheap. About 15000 d for a tiger. Go to the northern end of the complex and order seafood from the live tanks. The crabs are very small and one day they will wake up when there are nine left. Try the grilled squid with a bit of garlic and chilli. Yum. You will rarely find a European there. I saw a couple of Russians there last year. I think that they were lost. The car we hired was a brand new 7 seat Innova, so get a few people together. The cost to get in is 250000 and to hire one of the shack type things is another 250000 or maybe 500000. I am not quite sure. It's still cheap anyway

Really good place for my family. I came here to avoid the cold weather on the North. My family booked a connecting room with very comfortable accommodation. We enjoined sea food very much.

Thank you all

Our family visit this resort every year for the last 3 years but I just feel like I need to write a few things in the defence of this place after reading so many bad reviews.

First of all, this place is not in Nha Trang. It was said clearly on their website the first time I booked. So if anyone has complained about its remoteness it is because they hadn't done enough research. The road is a little bit bumpy but it's Vietnam so you should know before you decide to visit a developing country that the infrastructure is not up to most people's standard. Same with the facility , it may not be as splendid and fancy as you would expect a 4star hotel to be but in my opinion after travel around southern Vietnam, the place is surely worth the money and effort. The private white sand beach, the warm water all year round, the greenest environment (I love the way they grow a kind of special tiny plant in stead of grass), the food (from the resort and from the nearby village), the fact that you can almost walk off the balcony right into the water, the peace and tranquility of a remote village with nice and friendly people, all made it a relaxing holiday every time we visited.

Yet I admit that the language barrier is a let down for many international guests. But nowadays you can use google translate to communicate without any problem. Keep it in mind that this is a rural area and the staff are from the surrounding villages which are very poor and underdeveloped so cut them some slack. All the staff we met were nice and friendly.

We enjoyed the food every time we stayed. Breakfast was nice with many hot dishes, lunch and dinner were tasty and sufficient at reasonable prices. And you can walk to the local fish market to get freshly caught freshly cooked seafood. I loved to immense myself in the world of the locals.

If you are into night club and shopping then this is not the place for you but if you like a peaceful and relaxing time with your friends or family I so recommend this resort.

We came here because Some Days of silence had a problem. We where prommised all inclusive.
But there is a lack of communication. So for every meal we had tot argue with the staff.
You do not feel welcome at all. The swimmingpool is nice , the garden to... but the choice of food is poor. The work with coupons ( anno 1920 ). The kind, but stupid staff can not think by themsleves only obay the rules,
We where with 5 and booked two beach houses at Some Days, everthing was paid This turned into a hotel room and a house with extra bed at White Sand. ( covering all cost exept drink, was in my mailbox )
But in WS they do not read the email : They just follow there own rule :
If you book a extra bed you only get breakfast ???? ... all inclusieve ?? So if you pay $230 for one night it is to much to give a breakfast and lunch to a little girl..... This is only part of the drama. Please do not book.
The toilet was still not flushing after two visits of a plummer, we gave up and went to the pool toilet.

We have heard good feedback from some friends who went there some two years before. As such we did not check any review and confidently booked it for our entire trip in Nha Trang, with high expectation of course. We however felt dissapointed as soon as we arrived. This resort is old, boring, and overrated at 4 stars. I think it is between 2 and 3 stars. The only positive point is the beach with white sand, clear water, and small waves. Yet it is littered with rubbish like nilon bags. We booked an ocean view bungalow and it was quite small. The towels are old and look dirty. The Sea Breeze bar is desserted for unknown reasons, as we were the only persons who had a drink there in one night. The pool was small and old, with its side containing mold. Some underwater light bulbs were not fixed to the pool sides, which are quite threatening of electricity shock. The only good impression I had was food, which was decent for lunch and dinner. Yet breakfast is so so with limited choices. All told, I suggest you stay at Nha Trang city and don't always believe in ratings or even feedback from friends. Do further check like reviews on TripAdvisor or Lonely Planet by yourself. Good luck!
