Dining options: Breakfast, Dinner, After-hours, Lunch, Delivery, Reservations
Description: Open Monday to Sunday from 11am to 11pm (kitchen closes 10pm) Romdeng is set in a beautiful colonial building whose wooden carvings, tables, chairs and unique lights were all hand made in Cambodia. The silk goods and cushions adorning Romdeng were made by our students in sewing training at Mith Samlanh and its walls are hung with beautiful paintings produced by young people from the art classes there. All of this plus a pool, free WIFI, a family area and a gift shop mean a visit to Romdeng is a must.

“Best restaurant in phnom penh”
Reviewed 17 March 2012

Brilliant restaurant! We were recommended by fellow travellers and weren't dissappointed. Atmosphere, food and service were all wonderful! And they were really doing some great work for the local community. A little pricier than your average place in cambodia, however definately worth it!

“Pomelo and Tarantulas”
Reviewed 16 March 2012

The big thing here is deep fried Tarantulas for starters. They look like a practical joke and are actually quite tasteless, crunchy, and the pepper sauce gives the appropriate sting. The ritual can be fun with the arachnophobics shrieking, and the brave ones showing off.
Seriously food here is good. I fell in love with pomelo, both in shrimp salad an fruit shake. Best of all the place is a halfway house for street kids learning to wait tables and cook. Buy their great books upstairs.

“Love the courtyard”
Reviewed 14 March 2012

This place is the sister of Friends restaurant and we chose this over Friends to try Khmer cuisine. Gorgeous restaurant, we sat outside in a pretty courtyard and enjoyed some great food. The staff here are in training and are sometimes hesitant but its for a good cause.
