3rd year we've stayed. Very helpful staff proficient in English. Very clean and comfortable, quiet location but 10 - 15 minute walk to most attractions, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, etc, Great breakfast. Would recommend

Room Tip: sea view 501 very nice. Can see Blue Mosque and Sea.

Great value for money, good location (few hundred meters from hippodrome square where most of the attractions and activities are), ultra cleanliness, great staff (especially the nice breakfast lady on the rooftop restaurant), room and bathroom well equipped and good services (except for the shower gel / shampoo they provide, it's some sort of disgusting transparent mixture that smells like old glue !!! I mean PEOPLE you did everything right except for this ONE THING which you completely screwed up!!! I hope you'll fix it in the future and invest in some decent shampoo. Well now that I think about that horrible shampoo, I'll remove one point from "Services" and make it only 4). Alright now for all the rest, this is a highly recommendable hotel and I would stay there without hesitation, provided that they change their shampoo (you understand how traumatic it was for me).

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms are better and quieter.

Dear Sidou,

Thank you for your comments.

Of course we respect your oponion. But your review may mislead the people who wants to make reservation at our hotel.

We purchase shampoos from a big company since 2010. I will pass your comments to them. But shampoos are not so cheap as you think.

I tried this shampoo as well. I dont think so there is such a kind of big problem as you described in your e-mail. Of course, if we get more negative comments, we will consider to change our shampoos

Great hotel for singles.. clean, secure, updated, and offer sea view. Beds are clean, restrooms are spotless and staff are friendly. One drawback is it's about 10 min walk from tram/metro. Nextdoor hotels sell twice or thrice price for same quality.. only because of brand name i guess.

My wife and I recently spent 3 days in Istanbul at the Saruhan. It's a small, clean and comfortable hotel with helpful staff. The rooms are a reasonable size with a large bathroom and very good shower. The breakfast buffet has everything you need to start the morning. If you want an omelette, it's only 1 euro. By the way the bottled water in the fridge is cheaper than at the stores. The hotel is well located only about a 10 minute walk to the Blue Mosque, Haggia Sophia, etc. The airport transfer service is the cheapest among all the hotels. We'll definitely stay at the Saruhan next time we visit Istanbul.
