The staff of Premist were very helpful with making tour bookings and making out visit a very pleasant one. The stairs were awkward for older customers and decidedly dangerous in places where there were no handrails. There were no lifts. The rooms were comfortable and the beds were very good. The breakfast room was not very inviting and in the basement of the building. Breakfast was not exceptional. However the excellent location and the charming manager made up for the inadequacies.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on he ground floor.

Situated in Cankurtaran just behind Ayasofya and facing the walls of Topkapı, it is perfectly located for visiting all the main sites. Our room had a balcony which was well worth paying a little extra, but on the top floor and there is no lift. Not a problem for us but bear that in mind.
Decor is a little weird (black with red velvet, think David Lynch) but quite a novelty. There is a small garden/patio at the back where you can have your breakfast if you don't want to eat in the basement breakfast room. We have stayed in many different hotels in Istanbul and this is an excellent choice.

Room Tip: Top floor balcony room is worth the stair climb.

Great hotel , great location, good breakfast, great bathroom, great room, no lift which may not be suitable for all customers, the dark decor is an acquired taste and can make the rooms gloomy but would definately stay here again

Good location very close to the most boring so-called highlights of Istanbul, Haga Sofia and Sultanahmet Camil. This hotel have or have had the best intentions to be a romantic and charming hotel. Now it just a tired sleeping place. The breakfast area (summertime) are very nice and cosy, but the breakfast just feed you..no more no less. Terrible coffee and belove avarge cay/tea. Absolutely no sound proof rooms, so wish for quite neighbors..The staff understand Turkish language, that's it..

We booked a room for 5 nights and when we arrived to the hotel they told us that our room was "out of stock" for a minimum of 2 nights. They sent us to a "same category hotel" but when we got to the new place it became a nightmare and the worst night of our lives. The place was not even a lower category hotel, it was an indescriptible and nasty hostel. The room was a disgusting mess. Dirty floors, smelly toilet, no toilet paper, used tea cups, long hairs everywhere even on the pillows, stained towels and so on. We were in the middle of nowhere, with nosiy people and loud music in the building 'till 5:30.a.m.
Premist hotel told us that they would send a taxi to pick up us at 10am but nobody came. We had to ask to the people who was cooking at the reception to ring to our hotel but they didn´t even speak English. Finally, they called someone who spoke English and they tried to charge us 60€ for the room (which we had already paid 6 months in advance to the Premist Hotel).
We complained to the Premist Hotel about the whole circumstances but they didn´t seem to bother. We met more people at the Premist hotel with the same problem. It seems that they do overbooking quite often and that these circumstances happen frequently.

Pictures I attached are from the place they sent us as same category hotel.
