I stayed at the Hotel Asur for a week this spring and was very happy with this hotel. The service was excellent, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the location was wonderful. Easy walking distance to all the monuments, and if one is really lazy, the tram is a couple of blocks away. Breakfast was continental-turkish, with hot and cold choices, lots of fresh veggies, but nothing to write home about. Great prices, relaxed atmosphere

My friend and I stayed at the Asur Hotel from 27th to 31st May this year as we were in Istanbul for the F1 Grand Prix. We hired a car from the airport but found there was no parking at the Hotel as it is in a pedestrianised area but the Hotel staff pointed out a secure car park nearby which was staffed on a 24 hour basis. The parking fees ranged between 15 to 20 Turkish Lira per night which was worth paying knowing the car was being looked after.
The Hotel itself is in the historical quarter of the City and most tourist attractions are literally a few minutes walk away along with access to the tramway system.
The staff were extremley friendly and helpful and the managers Mehmet and Gonulyavuiz could not do enough to help.
The rooms are clean , fairly modern and ideal for our purpose as we were out most of the day and only needed them literally to sleep and shower in.
If you like to stop in and watch English TV forget it as there are no English spoken channels available.
The breakfast in a morning was fine , cereals etc and the evening meals were really good value for money.
We did the rounds of the local restaurants and most were dearer , some double the price.
If you like lager the local brew is Effes which is 5 Lira a pint at the Asur , most other bars charge 8 and even 10 lira a pint so it is good value.
On leaving the Hotel we were unfortunate enough to miss our flights and had to return for the night. Not a problem for the manager who greeted us with a big smile and managed to find us a room with only a 10 minute wait whilst one was cleaned.
We will be attending the 2011 Istanbul Grand Prix and will certainly book rooms at this Hotel as we could not fault the value for money , the staff and the location.

The Asur Hotel was perfectly placed in Istanbul for all the amenities.
The buffet breakfast was good with a large selection, We only had a three night stay here but the staff at the Hotel could not do enough to help.

We supposed to stay a week in this hotel, because of the smoke in the air we couldn't fly so we had to stay longer, after 2 days in an other very bad hotel in between we went back to Asur again. The rooms were clean and tidy and the beds heavenly. The food was awesome. The location is superb. İt's close to most of the touristic sights. İf you don't like this hotel, you should stay home, i don't think that there are any better.
For me, a good hotel is one where you don't feel like you are in an hotel, but where you feel like you are at home. We all thank the staff of Asur to give us that feeling, because of their kindness in every circumstances, because of their willing to help us, because of their warm welcome and smile every time we entered the hotel. Most of all, because the feeling they gave us that were not related to each other as staff-client but like friends,
We thank everybody, Gönül and Umut the receptionists with the everlasting kindness, Zeki, a brother for everyone, Salih and Bekir the everlastıng workers and all the others.
We give you a big THANK YOU.
We came in as clıents and we left as friends.
Greetz
