Conveniently close to Germany Colony area, restaurants and Baha'i Gardens Parking available immediately in front of apartment block, if available, or on street. Must contact rental agents by phone to check in. Good size, basic furnishings, comfortable bed. In apt. 9, no reading lights adjacent to bed, floors could use cleaning, sheets would not stay on bed, nearest grocery store has limited selection. Room had minimal street noise. Otherwise good value.

Room Tip: Room at back was quiet

David made the whole preparation for the visit easier and Moshe looked after us so well during our stay - even got us a coffee maker as we couldn't face the day without morning coffee. Our room was quiet, clean, comfortable and provided for all our needs. Being close to the bottom of the Baha'i Terraces made for our Pilgrimage stay which included daily visits to the Shrine of the Bab and the Pilgrim Center, so easy.

We had a wonderful stay at G38. The decor managed to combine a minimalist modern-looking sensibility with a playful and homey feel. The location was ideal for exploring the different attractions Haifa has to offer, especially the Baha'i Gardens. Instead of the typically long list of charges associated with a hotel stay, G38 provided several key services at no extra cost, including WI-FI and use of laundry machines. We also appreciated the accommodating and flexible attitude shown by the owners of this property.

We loved our stay at G38. It is a very good location (only 5mins walk from the Baha'i Garden terraces), near restaurants but also close to the local market area in the East (Hadar area).

G38 is basically, a rental apartment - you do not have housekeeping and there is no front desk lobby. It seems that people staying for a longer period of time may be staying here but I think it is also a common place for the pilgrims to the area.

Our place was basically, a bachelor apartment - we had a small kitchen area, 1 work table and 1 'dining' table, microwave, kettle, electric stovetop, and a washroom. You also have access to free wifi, a free cell phone to use while in Haifa, laundry facilities and a small safe in your room (it barely fits 1 SLR camera)

- The place is very well decorated with alot of Ikea furniture and it is also very clean.

Few notes:
- call ahead of time to check-in (I.e., 1 hr ahead of time) and/or arrange with David/Moshe through email. Otherwise, you may end up there but can't get into the apartment because you don't have the access code and don't know where your room is
- Household supplies - if you are running low, I suggest you email/call them 1-2 days in advance so that Mary (house cleaner) can leave it at your place when she is there.
- Supplies - it may be a good idea to go out and purchase some supplies for your stay there (I.e., Kleenex boxes, paper towels, toiletries (they have a single dispenser for an 'all-in-one shampoo/soap'))
- Bed: we found our bed to be a bit noisy - it was as if we were sleeping on a plastic sheet and every moment you hear a 'crackling' sound. However, by the 2nd or 3rd night, I didn't hear it any more and I think we just got used to it
- Walls are quite thin - if you sit quietly enough in your room, you can try and listen to the rooms next to you. Or, when neighbours hung their jackets on their coat rack, we could hear them doing that EASILY.
- Laundry: Be aware that they have 'preset/suggestions' on washing your clothes - their preset for drying clothes is 2hrs!!! And, your clothes aren't even always dry. Add to that, we found that hang drying our clothes in our room seemed to take a long time to dry - Israeli climate may have been a bit moist
- Cooking: Be aware that there is no fan for your cooking. As a result, very important to open all your windows to let the room air. As well, it is a good idea to close your luggage and/or put your clothes in the washroom and close the door otherwise, your clothes will have all your cooking smells
- The only big negative for us - whenever we walked into the apartment, the hallways had a very strong 'scent' (maybe a perfume scent?!) and we hated it. Thankfully, you can only smell it in the hallways and not in your rooms
- Grocery shopping: there is a Russion supermarket, bakery and some local eateries about 10-15mins east on HaGefen street
- Lots of restaurants to eat at on Ben Gurion. However, the top of the terraces shopping/eating area is nice because you are closer to a grocery store
- Public Sherut stops: about 15-20mins east of G38
- Airport: It is about 1-1.5 hours from Ben Gurion airport (taxi)
- Pilgrims: if you are here as a Baha'i pilgrim --- one of the pickup points for daily trips is right across the street from G38, so very convenient.

David, Moshe and Mary were very nice people to deal with and we very much enjoyed our stay here. We would highly recommend G38 if you are planning on staying in Haifa for a short and/or long-term stay.

David and Moshe operate the G38. Hard-working Mary keeps it very clean.
We successfully assembled our stay via internet two months in advance. We spent six days. This was a perfectly central location for us. There are two small markets within two blocks, a beverage/snacks/ice store one block away. We were a few hundred meters from the Ben Gurion Avenue social strip. Northeast of that were the Baha'i Holy Places UNESCO World Heritage site and UNESCO Plaza.

A free local cell phone was provided. If it isn't viewable in your native language, Moshe or David will be happy to make it so. We visited a number of places outside Israel, our total phone extras ended up being $40 US, so this local phone can help your budget.

There is also a room safe and a washer-dryer in the basement with laundry supplies provided.

We cooked a few meals from our units little kitchen with great success. We ate in our unit, on the table outside our door, but did not take our meals to the roof which would have been excellent.

We had a room on the second floor adjacent to Hameginem Avenue. It is a main traffic corridor, fairly well silenced when the street-side windows were closed. I suggest a room facing the bay.

Very secure, excellent stay. Wonderful people everywhere.

Room Tip: I suggest a room in a sea-facing unit.
