We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Facilities were high quality including nice room, indoor pool, childrens' playground , tennis court, wi fi in bedrooms. The staff were faultless - pleasant and helpful. Riad ran the reception smoothly, pleasantly and nothing was too much trouble. Benny (concierge) was charming and so helpful. Restaurant staff were also very good. It is not nearest hotel to town centre but is a short walk from central bus and tram station and shops. Can't wait to go back there.

Room Tip: Some floors have been recently upgraded, others apparently to follow.

Hotel was fine. Not quite what I would have expected from the Crowne Plaza name but alright none the less.

Room was modern but housekeeping was lax - not really vacuumed, no new glasses, minibar not restocked.

Gym is very nice but there is a small charge to use.

Hotel is kosher so dining is very limited on Friday nights and Saturday.

Hotel breakfast is very nice but buffet dinner is very expensive. Hotel is quite far from other restaurants (not walking distance but taxis, buses are available).

Walking distance to Israel Museum and a shuttle service is available (limited hours) to the Old City.

Room Tip: Higher up has the better view but it can be very windy!

I came down from Jerusalem on recommendation to use the spa facilities for the day (27th February 2012) - the bus drive down and back was more interesting and pleasant than the spa experience.

After being sent up and downstairs twice as no one seemed to know who I should pay, I finally got handed a towel by an indifferent spa receptionist who could barely be bothered to explain where to go and what to do. There was no robe, no slippers, nowhere to wash/dry costumes; the only changing room was tiny with an L-shaped bench and 3 showers for everyone - and the place was full of elderly guests. The floors and toilets were dirty - I didn't fancy putting anything down. It cost 180 shekels just to be there - and all that included was use of these dirty facilities so I went to the beach, which further up the coast would have been free and altogether more pleasant. Staff generally were rude and indifferent. Lunch was included - and this was good but overall, an experience I will not be repeating - at least not at this venue!

Room Tip: Not applicable - I didn't stay - it was just to use the Spa
