We stayed at the Dan Boutique for two nights midweek and were upgraded to a deluxe room by the lovely manager. The view over Mt Zion and the walls of the Old City is magnificent. Room was spacious and well appointed, with good lighting, enough outlets, a couch and coffee table and window that opened. Bathroom had everything we needed, including good shower water pressure and robes.
Room service menu had lots of great choices of healthy salads, grilled fish, substantial sandwiches and bar items all at prices comparable to Jerusalem restaurants. The hotel lobby and Bar is quiet and sophisticated and a nice refuge. The hotel is across the street from the lovely renovated First Station that has cafes, shops and entertainment and a walking trail. 20 min walk to the Old City. All in all, a great choice for a Jerusalem stay.

We stayed 3 nights. 5 minutes walk to the first old railway station which is now a nice place to walk, eat, buy etc.
Service is quite poor, breakfast and supper are with small selections.
Parking place is limited.
No intention to come back.

Dan Boutique is a very comfortable hotel located close to the Jaffa gate, infact it is a walking distance. There is a very quaint First Train Station area located very close to the hotel which offers a variety of restaurant choices and shopping area.
The hotel has a wonderful dining facility. Two people that needs to be recommended are Waleed and Mike in the dinning hall. They go the extra mile to see that the guest needs a taken care of and all of this we a smile and a warm welcome.

Room Tip: Good location

Stayed at this boutique hotel with friendly and helpful staffs for 2 nights.
Location is perfect, it is near the old city and other sites. Check in is a bit slow, got a call from the reception to make sure I am happy with the room. About the room it is a bit small with everything you need, the bed is comfy. Room service is very good. Next day they prepared for me 2 breakfast boxes (really appreciated it). The following day I had breakfast in the hotel, it was good. Overall a nice place to stay for a night or two while in Jerusalem.

We stayed here for 8 nights.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location to the old city and other sites is perfect.

This hotel deserves only 3 stars for these reasons.

The hotel is tired, it has seen its day. The finishes in the hotel are old, holes in drywall where picture once were. Very little care to the details of the facilities.

The restaurant has so much potential and talented staff and servers onsite.
The menu is uninspired and incredibly overpriced for the quality and variety of food offered.

This hotel is staffed with complacent staff who have become used to the unsuspecting guests.

I have managed successful hotels and restaurants and can tell you the upper management is far to comfortable. This place needs a serious overhaul.

I noticed that most tour groups stayed for 2-4 nights, perhaps this hotel is best enjoyed in short doses.
