Meandered down from Mount of olives to this beautiful spot, peace and serenity and well worth the visit before entering the crowded city....

This is a place believed to be the Garden where our Lord Jesus took his disciples up pray knowing that the time of sufferings were near, it is surrounded with several very thick trunks olive trees believed to be more than 2000 years old and still bearing fruits, there's a Church right behind the rock believed to be the area where Jesus knelt down and prayed before the roman soldiers arrived with Judas to betray Jesus. It is a very profound experience to come visit

Amazing to visit this Garden with its ancient Olive Trees. We wre pleasantly surprised that they had not let too many people in so it wasn't crowded.

This is a very pleasant place to sit and look over to The Mount.
What remains of the actual garden is railed off, presumably to stop visitors removing a piece for themselves but you can see the garden very easily. There is an olive tree that there is debate about. Some say it could be 2000 years old, while others say it only several hundred years old. There is a nice church on the site. There are lots of tombs nearby facing Temple Mount as this is seen as a very desirable place to be interred waiting for judgement day.

To see the actual garden where Jesus was before being arrested is very moving. There are very old olive trees, plants and flowers there making it a beautiful and serene garden. Next to the garden is a church which is dedicated to Jesus.
