Accommodation in Jerusalem comes neither cheap nor (apart from the very top-end places) without tourist groups of all kinds. With that in mind, the Grand Court is an excellent option also for the independent traveller as it offers two major plus points : less than 15 minutes walk to the Damascus Gate of the Old City, and round-the-clock free parking in the large and secure underground garage. Rooms are large and very light, not noisy despite the central location, very comfortable. Breakfast is extensive without being outstanding, the large lobby area a cosmopolitan maelstrom of visitors from all over the world. Despite its size and year-round full-on bustle, the hotel still has a personal touch with very helpful and courteous reception staff.

Stayed here 4 nights in April 2018 as part of a 10 day tour.
Had a room on the 10th floor, we could open the window for fresh air which was comfortable (I hate being in air conditioning), the hotel is very large and well appointed.
Has a very nice pool. Has a large and welcoming bar / lounge area. The staff are polite and helpful. There was an armed security officer at the front door.

Our package included breakfast and dinner at the hotel and we did enjoy (possibly a bit too much) the buffet breakfasts and dinners. The food was fresh and plentiful but it was a large dining area so several hundred people sitting at a time meant it could be a bit noisy and crowded, plus it seems a lot of people seem to have no idea how to behave at a buffet, but it was otherwise a good place to eat.

The hotel caters to large tour groups and is well equipped for that purpose. Our room was very comfortable and clean and we enjoyed our stay there.

It is very well located north of the old city, very close to the beautiful Garden Tomb, and about 10 minutes walk from the Damascus Gate into the old city. We walked everywhere and it was a nice hotel to come back to.

Would happily stay there again.

Room Tip: Higher floors offer a better view.

We loved this hotel. One could walk to Old City Jerusalem if you were up to it. We did and took a taxi back. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. We would definitely recommend this nice hotel.

Room Tip: Inside room faces nice courtyard. Some outside rooms have view of area.

This is a large hotel catering for a lot of tour groups. We had a large room with free wifi. We wanted a queen bed room and got a twin bedded room done with an extra mattress on top to make for 2 people .We stayed here 4 days and I used the swimming every day- it was open from 10am till 6pm- the water temperature was a little cool.
The breakfast was the main let down- it very busy- the fruit juice watered down so much so it did not taste like juice. The flavoured yoghurt that was in large containers did not have much flavour. The water at the coffee and tea station was not very warm enough.
Réception was not very good- I had to ring at least twice before my request was done on two seperate occasions. Housekeeping was not that good.

The hotel’s location 1.6 km north of the old city is the best thing about this hotel. My number one recommendation if a staff person looks at this review is to keep the pool open in the evening so people can use it :). It closes too early for most tourists. The exercise room should be upgraded. Otherwise everything good. Thank you.
