Just returned from a 10 day stay at the Isrotel Tower as I was in Israel to watch the dully take part in the Maccabia Games for Team GB. This hotel is very good value for money and is not that far behind the 5 star hotels that are on offer in Tel Aviv (which are a lot more money).
Good points first.
Excellent position just across the road from the beach as well as being close to shops and restaurants.
Spotlessly clean everywhere (except when the French are in town and decide to leave dirty nappies lying by the poolside when they are changing babies. Use a bin for heavens sake!!!!)
Large comfortable rooms with great views of both the City and the Sea. Great shower as well!.
Helpful and pleasant staff (except for the rude young lady on reception with blond hair and glasses)
No WIFI by the pool. Problem when you want to do emails.
No bar service by the pool, just a vending machine that only takes credit cards. Take into account your bank will add charges, doesn't really make sense.
The biggest problem is the fact that there are apartments within the hotel and there seems to be no control over who is staying in an apartment or who is a guest.
Owners of these apartments obviously sub let their apartments to holidaymakers and this leads to rowdy crowds of people who are clearly not meant to be there as whoever stays in these flats, invite their friends over to use the pool.
Management seemed to turn a blind eye to it (although I understand it's a tough problem to control) but the lifeguard could be a bit more on top of things.
During my 10 days there, I only saw him move once!!. I even thought at one point he may have passed away as he didn't move for a solid 4 hours.
To be fair, the rest of the time, he was fairly active....... on Facebook!!
So all in all, a good value for money hotel with more plus points than minus ones.
Would I stay there again?, yes, as long as they sort out the pool area issues.
