At least visit to see this place. We are not able to go top and my pleasure to visit top Insha Allah next time. Great place in Islamic era.

It is a blessed mountain near Mecca, which is mostly visited by pilgrims to Mecca. It is popular because it houses the cave of Hira, where the Prophet (Peace be upon him) used to meditate away from the city of Mecca. It his here that the Angel Gibraeil taught him to read and thereafter the Holy Quran was revealed to him in small portions which he memorised and read to his companions. It was later assembled in the form of a Book, which is now preserved in its present form in the whole world without even a minute change, whatsoever, unlike Books of other religions of the world. The mountain is very steep with no pathway but still some young people climb it to see the small cave Hira& pray there, but it is not obligatory. It is done only out of curiosity. There are many roadside shops selling local items. This spot is included by the tour operators as part of a local tour of places of religious importance around Mecca. A visit here will no doubt be a good experience.

Me and my husband climbed at Jabal e Noor after Asr Prayer ( most probably best time) and we took about 1 and half hour to reach at the top. Dont have words to express my feelings while praying 2 Rakaah's there and having an opportunity to smell that special fragrance. Listening to Maghrib Athan from top of it was BEAUTIFUL.
While climbing you will see benches to take some rest in case you're tired. Dont forget to take water with you and a stick for your defence as there are many Monkey's at the top who can snatch your mobiles , water bottles even your purse. so just be careful from them.

This is the place where Angel Gabriel first teach the sentence of AL Quran (from the Almighty creator) to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) the word is "Ikrah".

Must visit place if you are fit enough to climb the Mountain. It will take minimum 1.5 hours to reach the top. If your planning to visit take some water and snacks with you.

A small suggestion to municipality council. They should keep this holy place neet and clean.
