This place was grim. The room and bathroom were far from clean - scummy basin and gritty floors. There was a small wet spot on the bedroom floor which was directly below a mini-stalactite hanging from the ceiling. Walls havn't seen paint in decades. But the air-con worked once we had asked for it to be turned on.
We had asked for a pick-up from the airport on arrival, but there was no-one there and in the end we found ourselves a taxi.
No breakfast available, but there is a cafe just up the street where you can buy a tasty toasted sandwich.
There are few sit-down restaurants in the neighbourhood, and the management suggested we get a taxi out to near Pigeon Rocks to a place they reccommended. We prefer to walk, but they couldn't grasp that idea. We ended up walking into Place de l'Etoile where we had an excellent pizza at Il Parlamento.
