I visited this hotel back in October 2020 and the place was perfect. This time, the room isn’t updated! It smells cigarette!. The food is good. The location of the hotel is very nice on The Nile River. Staff are friendly. I have 3 people in the room but towels, water, tea and sugar are only for two people!

Room tip: Always ask for non smoking room in non smoking floor!

Very luxurious! We stayed for five nights and slept soundly each night. Even though it is huge, we never heard a thing at night. Great views over Nile and we could see the pyramids from our room! We ate at three of the eight restaurants and the food was fabulous. Best buffet breakfast! We ran out of time to try the revolving restaurant on the roof unfortunately for us. The hotel was very clean, very safe and secure. Friendly staff. Very centrally located in a nice neighbourhood

Room tip: Book into the rotating restaurant. Ask for a high up floor facing the pyramids

The rooms are very old and not well maintained. The cleanliness of the rooms and the bathroom is very poor. The hotel does not have rooms with shower, only with bathtub (accessibility problem for PRM). The curtains in the room are broken, the heating in the room does not work, cold air comes out. The entrance card to the room stops working frequently.

Honestly, the hotel is supposed to be 5* but in reality there are 3* hotels with a much better customer service.
We booked a triple room. When we arrived to the room, we had only 1 double bed. We requested an additional bed and I had to request the rollaway bed 2 more time for it to be in the room. It took 4hrs. When the bed arrived, it had no sheets and duvet so I had to wait for an additional 30 min to go to sleep. It was already 11pm and I had to wake up at 5am.
On the next day they removed the duvet without prior notice and change it by a blanket. I was surprised when I arrived to the room in the evening because I did not request the change and the duvet was already there.
On top of that, the room key card keeps disconnecting all the time. It does not matter if you place it next to your phone or you leave it on top of the table, it will disconnect in some time. For that reason, we had to go down to reception 5 times to recut the key which is just time consuming.
The worst is the customer service. Even if there are some exceptions, the team is not helpful and they do not care if you are unhappy, not satisfied or if you are thinking on placing a complaint. They do not care.
In my opinion there are many hotels in Cairo where you will have a better experience.

My stay at the grand Nile tower was absolutely amazing. The building is beautiful and perfectly located right on the Nile. When I booked I was a little worried because there were some bad reviews but honestly I don’t see why. My room was impeccable. The bath had a rain shower that felt like standing under a waterfall. The toilet also has a bidet and handheld sprayer. The bed was very comfortable. But the best part was the balcony. Stunning views of the Nile and Cairo while also providing some privacy.
The staff were also great, very helpful but not obtrusive. I stayed on the club level so breakfast and dinner is available if you want it. It was quite delicious.
Another nice perk was that the sailboats leave from a little dock right across the street so I could walk to it. They also had live music at night. And there is a mall with a theater attached as well as several restaurants though I didn’t go. There’s a riverboat docked too that I think does river cruises but I didn’t check it out.
Overall a great place and would definitely stay here again.
