Great hotel. We stayed there when it was under the Hilton. Receptionist was quite friendly, and extremely professional. We were upgraded because of our membership. Few hints to complete the touch of 5 stars plus

House keeping rang the bell and opened the door without waiting for an answer. This happened twice
coming back at 12 am, it took us 30 minutes to enter the main gate, as there were no parking spots available.
On checking out the house keeper came to check the bar while we were still in the room
Finally the bell captain took the same elevator with us, and another joined in at a lower floor

Room Tip: Nile view is superb, don't go for city view

I stayed in the RC Cairo for 2 nights on a business trip and it far surpassed my expectations! The interior of the hotel is so comfortable and beautiful and the staff do absolutely everything they can to make your stay a memorable and pleasant one. Special thanks to Reham and the Guest Relations team for sending delicious Egyptian honey to my room. The breakfast waiters were really excellent too. I highly recommend staying here.

The hotel room is very spacious and includes comfortable beds! The location is great as it is right next to the Egyptian Museum and the Nile. Lots of restaurants are walking distance and it is near other 5 star hotels in case you want to try one of their restaurants. The staff is very friendly and welcoming; very safe with strong security. The breakfast buffet is worth the cost and be sure to make reservations and sit outside for dinner at Bab El-Sharq (live music and excellent food).

Overall, our three-night stay was pleasant and comfortable. This hotel was built sometime in the 1960s, originally as part of the Hilton chain. R-C acquired it some years ago, but it still as more of a Hilton-like feel to it. Decor felt dated, but was generally in good condition. Staff was attentive, helpful and generally friendly. Unfortunately, since so many in Egypt smoke, just about any large venue where people congregate has the lingering smell of cigarettes and the R-C common areas were no exception. Our room was quite comfortable & large, with a commanding view of the Nile. We had a very nice spa treatment during our stay and enjoyed interacting with the staff there. The swimming pool was fantastic - a perfect way to relax after a busy day of touring,

The Egyptian tourist industry is trying hard to regain the country’s status as a premiere destination and my hat is off to the sincere effect that just about everyone I met throughout the country is putting forth in this regard.

Five stars isn't enough. Everyone from the doorman to the pool boy was extremely professional and helpful. The location of the hotel is virtually close to everything I wanted to do around Egypt. Could not have asked for a better place to stay.
