The first time i came in 2016 the hotel was really amazing clean rooms the same prices as agreed before booking or coming but now it's absolutely the worst. When we called on Sunday 10 Nov, to reserve a room the agent who answered told me she'll just give me a code to reserve online with a 10% discount. As she said we followed the process the prices were good in EGP 1 room 2 beds with breakfast for 4 days but they charged us in USD even though we're egyptians. Contacted them many times and each one says different things. When we arrived they said the prices we agreed on were without the taxes and both taxes and reservation are in USD which isn't what we agreed on and that it's our fault for booking online as there're additional charges. Finally we checked to the worst room. The carpet wasn't clean, empty fridge and somehow cracked from the inside, dirty cups, no view, no extra cover or even a pillow, the beds aren't comfortable, there was a dead bug on my sheet and the toilet wasn't well cleaned. We spent only one night instead of the 4 days we wanted.
I really try to avoid writing these types of reviews but i'm disgusted. I want a compensation.

We travel a lot with work, so we know what to expect when it comes to hotel star ratings.

We booked the Pyramisa Suites Hotel based on their 5 star rating for the first few days of our holiday.

We thought it would be a nice relaxing stay.... we were wrong.

We arrived at the hotel quite early and asked if our room was available. They said we had to wait for check in time. Which of course is understandable. It was however quite interesting to see that any Egyptian that approached the front desk to check in before check-in time was given a room immediately......

We were given a small corner room that was very dark, the wall behind the bed was dirty with greasy hair marks, the fridge was very noisy, the ceiling in the bathroom was falling down and it was all very dirty. At least the air conditioning worked.

The house keeping staff were very nice, however the rest of the staff were rude and uninterested. Several times we actually got up from the bar and left because we had waited 20 minutes to be served and yet still no one came. Again, if you were Egyptian you would he served straight away.

The hotel was expensive and the quality was VERY poor.

Again, this is NOT a 5* hotel

We were there twice during a package tour to Egypt. Location is excellent, security is good, food was very good in diner as well as breakfast. Service was good in Egyptian standards. Rooms are very big but some of them need renovation and are smelly so part of the group changed rooms and became satisfied.

Room tip: Take a look, small and if required, change

We stayed at the Pyramisa for 3 nights as part of a package. Quick pick up at Cairo airport and easy transfer to the hotel. Quick registration at reception and shown to room within five minutes. Breakfast was buffet style with good waiter service. Room was not cleaned adequately with black hair in the floor and false eyelashes stuck to the bedside cabinet. None of which was ours. The air conditioning in the room was noisy but it kept the room cool overnight. Had to turn it down as the room became cold. Some fittings in the bathroom were in need of upgrading. The air conditioning unit leaked water into the shower, so you had to dodge the drips. The room was large and comfortable and the free wifi allowed contact back home. Dinner was in one of the three eating areas within the hotel, a fixed menu with plenty to eat and good service. The reception staff conducted me to the nearest cash point which is about 100 yards from the main door. Security was good entering the hotel and around the hotel the tourist police have armed posts. We felt secure and safe whilst in Cairo.

Certainly not 5 Star. Staff friendly but not overhelpfull - always looking for the extra dollar. Rooms obviously not cleaned before new occupants arrive. Seems to geared more to Arab business people than to tourists. Breakfast was good and extensive choice. Restaurant food very good.

Room tip: Overlooking the pool is best if you can get one.
