We were delighted when we found this unique hotel after we had unpleasant feeling to stay at the western part of the Nile river bank.

The hotel was unique and completely typical Nubian. The foods served were wonderful and delicious.

And when we were about to have a happy ending experience, our pick up transport to the airpot suddenly cancelled our booked appointment, perhaps due to some confusion.

I contacted Mr. Habib the owner. And he took very bold action by tasking his driver, who happened to just have brought in guests, to take and drop us off at the airport, just in time where it didn't put us into chaotic and rushing situation.

I saluted him and fully recommend people to enjoy and chill out with unique experience in this hotel. You won't be disappointed.

It was such a joyful relaxing holiday beside the River Nile

-this guesthouse is a beautifully decorated villa
-the room was super clean and sunny
-people working there are friendly specially Mr Habib the manager
- we had a room with a double view; Nile view from the balcony and garden view from the window

-the breakfast time is flexible, you can ask for your breakfast when you wake up
-There is a kitchen on the ground floor and another bar on the roof for hot drinks all day long.

*The manager was really flexible,we had a Nubian friend who won a prize for her documentary, The manager allowed us to invite friends over and we made a movie
,night in the reception area of the guesthouse , we watched the documentary there and other guests in the guesthouse joined us.

Important note for potential visitors: each room has a bathroom but some rooms have their bathrooms outside, in front of or just beside the room.

* This guesthouse is situated at the west bank of the Nile, we took a boat to transfer us to downtown on the other shore just in front of the train station which is beside the Old market of Aswan where you can buy almost everything you need.
The boat costs only 2 L.E per person which is really cheap. And it also allowed us to enjoy the River Nile at least twice daily >

This is more of a home-stay than hotel, but it is perfectly charming. Just be aware that you will be living in someone's (beautiful, spacious) home and might run into your host running to the bathroom at night. That said, Habibi and his family are welcoming and happy to assist, without pushing tours or trying to sell you anything. Very competent and helpful.

The rooms and house are lovely, spacious, and cool. Great aircon, wifi, water included, and easy access to ferry. Very quiet at night. There are cats and dog on property, which were all well behaved, but worth knowing ahead.

Meals are set menu, no ordering from menus. Breakfasts included eggs, bread, jams, potatoes, cheese, yogurt, coffee/tea. You can get lunch or dinner - great food and generous portions, but again, menu is set by the cook.

The West bank is quite rural and you will have to ferry to East bank for restaurants, shops, activities, banking, etc. This isnt a downside per se, but you should be aware and consider this when looking. Ferry is 5£/ride.
