Very clean basic room with comfortable bed. Good security. Courteous and helpful staff. But stay here only if you don't actually want to sleep. Blasting music all night long from 11p-5a with earplugs and noise canceling headphones and windows closed ....and the room still thumps... making this hotel only worth it if you can sleep through anything. I'm a heavy sleeper that doesn't mind experiencing the country I'm in, but I will be cancelling the rest of my reservation and seeking accommodation elsewhere.

The rooms are clean with hot water and comfortable beds. While this is my sixth stay and have never had a problem before, be careful to lock your money in the safe when you leave your room. The food is average and the price is fair @ $55 for a single and breakfast.

Have stayed here many times over the years. they have had quite a facelift recently and it's a comfortable and affordable place to stay right in the centre of Nairobi, just behind Uhuru Park. Clean, quiet and nice staff.

I recently stayed at the Anglican Guest House when I was in Nairobi for two weeks for business. It is conveniently located just outside of downtown, about 20min from Kenyatta Airport. Accommodations are average, but it is very clean and secure. WiFi was spotty and sometimes I could get it but my roommate could not while we were in the room at the same time. Rates were very good. The staff was wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. The only slight negative was the repetition of food items on the buffet. There was also a lack of fresh fruit, and fish, which became an issue because I do not eat meat. Otherwise, my stay was very pleasant and I might consider staying there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the newer section!

The rooms are very spacious with big windows overlooking gardens which gives a lovely feel downtown Nairobi. You don't hear a lot of traffic which is unique in this part of town. Internet works well. The bathrooms are well functioning and clean but smell a little bit. There is a strange sound from an unidintified machine 24 hours a day in the G-wing. Not a generator but a quite irritating zoom - everyone complained about it. Food is buffet style, very basic and greasy. Alcohol forbidden on the premises. Make sure to double-check your bill, ours was almost double of what we actually consumed.
