This place is very near to our office in Beijing. It was quite hot during the noon but once you get inside you can get cozy. The restaurant is always crowded so better to book the table in advance. Since I am a vegetarian the choice of food was limited so I tried their vegetarian Pizza. This is not quite like Dominos or Pizza hut pizza's that we get in India. Not much of cheese but it had very authentic taste. Their salads are also very good. The place offers free wifi as well and a good place to hang out with friends/colleagues for a quick bite.

This is a really great Italian restaurant. There are several branches in areas of Beijing where foreigners live and work. This branch is very close to a lot of hotels. But it is the hardest to find.
One morning I walked around the Guomao area with this app showing the Chinese translation to taxi drivers, delivery people, hotel concierges, natives that lived/worked in the area, and even a fellow foreigner or two. Almost all heard of the restaurant. All were perplexed by the address. No one seems to have any idea what the RUISA building is. Essentially could not find it but was ultimately given good directions to one of their branches a little farther away.
First, it is not in the Guomao shopping/hotel centre or any of the buildings in that complex. That complex is on the North-west corner of the huge intersection where the third ring road meets Jianguomen avenue. The Complex where this restaurant branch is, is the very opposite corner (kitty corner) on the south east.
Second, if you take the subway there and get out at Guomao station, the south east corner is the one that currently has no exit. You are better off going to the south-west exit and then going through an underpass to the south-east (don't go to the north-east and try to dodge cars while crossing the road (it can be like the Chariot scene from Ben Hur there)).
Finally, once you are on the south-east corner, you must go behind the tall buildings that border the corner. There is a lane way from the third ring road. Walk down it towards the east, the restaurant will be one of the last store fronts in the group of shorter buildings to your right. If you see the ascot hotel you are heading in the right direction but it is not in that building but one across the lane.
Good luck. It is worth it!

It was a dark and stormy night. It was also a stormy day spent touring around in the rain. No one wanted to go out again once we got back to the hotel. The kids were being adventurous eaters all trip but wanted a little comfort food as well. Concierge recommended this place to deliver. Pizza was great, fast, and though we were staying in a smaller hotel a little far from this restaurant--surprisingly easy to order. Very reasonable price for food and delivery. One caveat, their large size is what most readers might consider just a medium (though the small was a typical small size).

For awhile as we were adjusting to life in Beijing, we would order Annie's once a week. It was affordable, good, and consistent. So often in Beijing, you can enjoy a dish and go back and it doesn't taste the same. But Annie's is consistently good. Worth a try.
