Very good location. The hotel itself was ok. the bed and pillows very comfortable. Terrible experience with wifi. In room wifi only available if you have a Chinese mobile number. Otherwise you could only get free wifi in the lobby of the hotel. If you plan to exercise note that the gym does not open until 10am.

Room Tip: Wifi is only available in your room if you have a Chinese mobile number.

I stayed at this hotel many years ago and it was quite nice. In fact the lobby and the restaurants still look like a reasonably 4 star. However, when it comes to the rooms they are a disaster -- particularly the carpets. I needed to change rooms twice just to get a room that may not have long-term negative health benefits. Nothing has changed in these rooms in 10 years. And, nothing renovated. There are also few restaurants in the area (Henderson Center is under renovations and everything there is now closed). The gym is nothing short or horrendous. Absolutely no equipment, they want to charge to use, and it does not open until 10 am -- what a joke. Lobby 4 star and the rest 2 star.

the only good thing about this restaurant is about the location, very central and next to BRT. However, this hotel is too old, seem like I live in 199x, the manager should improve the facilities. The food here was nice, especially Chinese food.

This hotel is more like a 3***in western standards. Maids are nice and helpful, front desk staff not as helpful as we hoped. We are unable to get a taxi, for reasons unknown to us. The room is spacious, however it lacks the attention to detail, for example paint on the floor from whomever painted the trim. Shower curtain needs replacing.
The buffet breakfast is really nice with lots of options and fresh omelettes. There are also 2 other restaurants which is a nice option but we haven't been to them yet.
We tried to use the pool, however swim caps are required and strictly enforced.
The location is great, right beside the subway. There are no restaurants outside the hotel, you have to take the subway. There is really nothing but banks and another hotel close by.
The subway is so easy to navigate with the maps. It's really the only way to travel.

- Wifi on the mobile phone only with Chinese telephone number
- called the reception to make an appointment for the spa, was told they call back, never happened
- called reception as the internet was not working, was told a technician will come, did not come
- gym not included, 160 RMB per session is crazy for the equipment they have
- check in and out was fast
- buffet restaurant has good value for money
- Chinese Restaurant was good
- walking distance to forbidden city 30-40 min, take a bike if you are OK to ride a bit 10-15 min
