Will be stayin @ Carnarvon next week , upon reviews I'm quite exciting that my stay would be lovely even though on a budget basis. Although I'm not sure if to ask any questions i need some help on which is the easiest trip to reach hotel from HKIA.

I have actually stayed at the new Hop inn in carnarvon St. The hostel is just great, its very well located, rooms are very clean, it is small, but for this price, you wont stay at the Hilton, right? To get there from the airport, choose the A21 bus, rather than the train, its easier, once you get to bus stop 13, you will be two blocks away from it. When you get there, it will be a little scary, as the hostel is locate in a commercial building, and its reception doesn’t look really nice, don't worry get in the lift, you will feel safe up there! There is a Mcdonalds across the road, great usual breakfast, KFC half block away, and plenty of Chinese restaurants around, try the fish ball, typical HK dish. I think the hostel should have more touristic information at the reception, such as the symphony of lights, on the stars avenue. But recommend it very much

I stayed there for 2 nights in August. This place is pretty much a very nice hostel. For a hostel, it was pretty clean. They were very nice, and they took care of my problem. I accidently brought bed bugs from my university, where I had previously stayed. They were very nice though, they took care of my clothes, and they had somebody come in to steam the room to kill the bugs. The room was really small. And the bathroom was a glass shower with a toilet and sink inside. So, when you shower, the toilet gets a little wet. However, there is a curtain for privacy. Just look at the photos to see what I mean. It was a good, cheap place to get what I need (sleep, shower) and go explore Hong Kong.

The room itself really was tiny (we were in the 'Boom' room), if you have a lot of luggage you might struggle for somewhere to put it but for the price I doubt you will find bigger/better. Aircon worked but if we left it on during the night it would start making a lot of noise in the early hours of the morning and woke us up! These were minor issues - for the location and friendliness of staff it really is a good choice. Short walk to the harbourfront and even shorter walk to the metro station. It's an area bursting with restaurants of all varieties so you'll never be stuck for somewhere to eat. There is a laptop that you can borrow for internet access, and lots of other things to borrow/rent e.g. hairdryer, guide books.

stayed for 4 days at this cozy place.
Good side
1) Booking and confirmation of rooms: easy and fast.
2) located very near MTR station!!
3) staffs are really nice, can help u and intro places to you
4) free wifi, free water, free rental of hairdryer, dvd, what's more can u ask for?

Down side:
1) stayed at a room which air con did not work well! time to change your aircon
2) required to change room as someone else who booked the room will be moving in later on.
3) unlucky;;;;;changed to a room with better aircon but poor WALL soundProof! can literally hear the sewage, water dripping sound, people talking in another room. =(

overall,
still a cozy place. price a bit pricey tho.

Room Tip: though they dont allow u to choose ur room. pray that you dun get this room - Altostratus if u want to sleep in a quiet room.
