As an oysters lover, this place was recommended by a friend. Seldom dine in TST East so were unaware of this place which has apparently been around for 8 years or so. We chose to sit outdoor which is less cramped than inside. The menu boasts 27 types of oysters from France, New Zealand, Tasmania, USA, Korea......and there are 2 prices - one without the wine and the other "wine lover's price" when you order either 2 glasses each or one bottle. We ended up ordering a bottle of NZ Sauvignon Blanc (HK$349) and another house Chilean Sauvignon Blanc (HK$279) to go with the oysters. The young staff there are very friendly and know their oysters well (she recommended 2 other types which are not on the menu). Prices range from HK$18 to HK$50+ for the wine lover's price which is about 30% less. We ordered only one dozen of 4 types and they were all very fresh and tasty. Followed by a cheese platter (quite small) and then the Dutch blue mussels which we found a little disappointing as they are very small and have a "funny" taste with the cream sauce, maybe not so fresh? We did not order any other mains so cannot comment on the rest of the food. Overall the meal was enjoyable with the friendly staff and the fresh air. For HK, the prices of the oysters are extremely reasonable and I would say you won't be able to find it elsewhere. Heard their boss is a supplier of fresh oysters in HK hence maybe they are able to sell them at such reasonable prices. The restaurant is located on a side street right across the entrance of the Intercontinental Grand Stanford Hotel. If you are an oysters lover, this place will not disappoint. Will certainly return for the oysters and wine when in the same area again.

I am a real avid oysters lover, so much so that Patrick McMurray, our Toronto's own world shucking champion, gave me a signed copy of his Oyster book in appreciation
of my regular patronage at his Oyster bar & grill - Starfish and Pearl Diver.

This evening, my 'bestman' and true buddy for over 40 years, met up at TST 'Open Oyster' for a long overdue re-union. Dining al fresco style outside in the patio, we celebrated our friendship and reminisce our time spend in London with a couple platters of extra-large to jumbo size oysters from around the world and a nice bottle of our favorite Riesling. The oysters we had were by far the largest I have encountered. In particular the Jumbo size Taylor Pacific which is as long as my palm! 'Gozilla Oysters', if there is such a thing?! Ha!

Surprisingly, the cooked food at this charming place was pretty delectable as well. Both the Dutch blue mussels with Pesto cream sauce and the Linguine with seared scallops and crab meat in EVOO both warrant top marks!

Highly recommended!

Tony this if to you for making our experience in Hong Kong the best one. We definitely enjoyed our dinner after hours when we had given up from finding a decent place to eat at that hour.

This French restaurant is tucked away behind the streets but serves very good and fresh food. I had the best fish and prawn dish and my husband had pork both were very nice and well prepared with a side dish of mushrooms . Our experience of oysters was also a good one, fresh oysters. thank you

Hotel quality but economical prices! The oysters are fresh with loads of variety. I think the White Pearl and Fin de Claire were the best, although Zeeland Pearl wasn't bad (holland).

If you join the wine lovers set (meaning order a bottle for 2 persons, or two glasses per head) it is HKD15 off for each oyster. The wines are overpriced but if you do the math it's not a bad deal getting a house wine, which is of acceptable quality. The hot foods like steaks and sides were surprisingly tasty too, and not too expensive.
