Good value. Steaks are around HK $400. The choice isn't extensive but steaks were cooked well and nicely presented.
Starters: oysters were fresh and juicy.
Sides were mixed. The mac and cheese with bacon was the winner. It was deliciously creamy and the texture was perfect. The creamed spinach was not good, quite acidic tasting and watery. Not the creamy consistency we expected.
The server: had complete and utter lack of knowledge about steaks, and food in general. Given the type of steak house this is, we expected so much more in terms of staff. When asked what the difference was between the US and Canadian rib eye, she answered "err, just that they are from different places"
When asked what type of cheese is in the cheese board she answered "blue cheese?" and upon return after asking a colleague, she named 'blue cheese' again, and two other cheeses which she said with such uncertainty, we couldn't figure out what the answer was. It turned out to be Comte, Brie and Stilton.
Earlier in the meal when she had to replace a steak knife for someone in our group she took it straight off a neighbouring table...despite that table having other patrons seated at it!
The menu states 'refer to the Daily Selections' for more steak options. When asked what they are she said 'we actually don't have any, the ones listed on the menu are the specials'.
I guess if you are already knowledgeable about your steak, know what you want to order and don't expect to ask your server any questions, this place will do fine.
For this price point, I won't come back. In Central, 'Tango' is a much more reliable option in all aspects. Go there instead!
